Summarized backstory;
Alistair had once been the heir to the throne thousands of years ago, and had gone through many mishaps and adventures before he could rule. But through that all, he had found the love of his life... or so he thought. It pained him but she had left him for another and he had decided that it would be best if he didn't continue his adventures with her and instead went to go and take his place as king. He ruled for a good amount of time but as the many years went on and him not aging passed, it just so happened that people started losing faith in kings and queens and began to modernize into now days. Where he depressingly lays in his messy apartment and gets up at 5 in the morning with his flask at hand to go and work at a cafe, now days he is the king of making amazing coffees and such. But his old title was lost long ago along with his dignity.
