It was originally her grandpa's name, and when he passed away she named the rock (A gift to her when she was little) after him to remember him by.
P E R S O N A L I T Y;
Affectionate, creative, soft-hearted, quick to help others, gullible. Kind of a crybaby. Animals tend to bond to her easily. Has a big sweet tooth.

R O C K N A M E(and why){0/75MAX}; Jay, it was the first thought that came to mind (Jayfeather, from Warriors) when I looked at the feather. Lorin found the bird perched on the rock, singing a tune, but when she tried to approach it, the bird flew away leaving behind special feather on the rock. She found this symbolic and picked them both up.
P E R S O N A L I T Y; Lorin is very shy, spiritual, and is not very good at making friends. She keeps her yellow necklace close to her heart because, to her, it means the sun and its rays of hope. This gives her the feeling that one day those rays will bring up her voice, powerful as the sun and melodious as the songbird, leaving her with the ability to finally talk out of her quiet nature.
