Flynn is intelligent and has a good sense of judgment with the ability to think ideas through very carefully first and then act on them second. They show an appreciation for conservative refinement, which is evident in their attire, their personal possessions, and in their homes. It comes natural to them to gravitate to positions of authority and they do not appreciate their decisions being questioned. Their displeasure with being taken for granted or treated with familiarity is often indicated with a chilly silence. Although they may portray an image of self-confidence, and are articulate and poised in their expression, inwardly they are sensitive and crave understanding.

The appearance of being unapproachable and secretive makes it difficult for others to get to know them. Even while appearing to mix well with others, they often feel a sense of aloneness. Sharing of their innermost thoughts does not come easily, and lack of communication sets up barriers leading to misunderstandings and insecurities. They have a definite desire for independence and freedom from monotony, limitations, and interference from others. They have misunderstandings with others quiet frequently. Misunderstandings that thwart recognition of their efforts and abilities frequently arise because of lack of communication. As a result, they are often unable to fulfil their expectations and ambitions because of difficulty in impressing others when trying to bring arrangements to a successful conclusion. All too often what should be their success will fall short or will go to someone else. They desire to understand the "whys" and "wherefores" of life and thus are philosophically inclined.
