A super long time ago when Dires were still very prominent, some aliens abducted a packs of Dires to do test and experiments on them. Sometime in history, the aliens mysteriously left (or so it is presumed) and Idris is an ambassador from one of the planets that the wolves were brought to and he pretty much tries to contact and negotiate with other packs with that were on different planets, or the main planet where RPWs live on.
