muse is nice to everyone in general,
seeing a friendship in everyone she
meets. though afraid of most things,
being social is not one of them. she
easily forms bonds with most people
she meets, and isn't bashful about
her feelings regardless of how close
they are. artistic skills come with
ease, and are usually bright in color
and theme. for example, paintings
she creates are often full of color,
and express her feelings effortlessly.
she's a bright person in general, it
being very hard to find her upset.
she tries to treat everyone with
respect and kindness, careful not to
offend anyone. unfortunately her
bonds with other, more dare-devil
dolls, may be strained, as she finds
herself trembling at any mention of
danger or risk; though she makes up
for this with various compliments and
interesting topics. though very
happy-go-lucky and ambitious in
everything she does, she grows quickly
upset when faced with insults, even
if it takes her a while to understand
them.

relationship together ⤵
lilt and muse get together very well!
they seem as though they've known
each other forever, and their (best)
friendship is very fulfilling; muse
just enjoys having someone to talk to
and the company lilt offers, while lilt
enjoys the constant attention, and
feels as if muse is a very good influence
on his otherwise boring personality.

relationship with others ⤵
ross - owned by me ross and muse
met a while back, ross interested by
muse's interest in art, while also looking
for a chance to test out a sarcastic
joke. as usual, muse accepted the joke
with glee, and their friendship quickly
blossomed. while ross' devious nature
may be a negative influence on muse's
pure mentality, he would argue that
he's helping her be more adventurous.
though muse is still very afraid of
most things, ross helps her get over
her fears by taking her on adventures
and playing wild pranks on others.
misaki - owned by zetsubou. muse and misaki
seem to be very good friends! they get
along well, and whenever they're seen
together muse is grinning and making
attempts at jokes. while they can both
enjoy just hanging out, muse is a very
active and excited doll so she loves
taking misaki out to odd places. she
especially loves taking misaki roller
skating; misaki seems to love it, which
just makes muse enjoy it even more
to see misaki so excited. muse also
manages to pill misaki along on adventures,
unusually brave in her efforts to impress
misaki. muse has found herself very
attached to the other, and loves when she
can make her smile, or vice versa being
as everything misaki does makes muse
giggle. though they haven't known each
other for too long, muse thoroughly
enjoys misaki's company and finds herself
developing a small crush on the other.
vincent - owned by vordic. muse and vincent
have been friends for as long as they can
remember, and always have a great time
in each others company! they have fantastic
chemistry and are constantly making jokes
and loudly talking with each other. there
isn't much to say about them, other than
they're best friends; they're either found
playing video games or trying to get their
childlike energy out through silly sports or
dancing around and yelling until they wake
everyone else up.

[1,146 words. im sorry u dont have to read it its a mess]- Code: Select all
Like nearly every other day, Muse stood in their solo glass box, just tall and wide enough to keep her neatly propped up on a near invisible stand. With four glass walls, ceiling, shiny wooden flooring and no ability to move her limbs, she couldn't escape. However, she didn't mind. All she had ever known was standing in a cozy enclosure, sat neatly on a shelf belonging to a much larger glass enclosure, each wooden shelf holding other unmoving porcelain dolls trapped in glass boxes such as her; because this was all she knew, she didn't mind the near constant silence without interaction. Though with no concept of time, she was confident in her ability to guess when things would occur based on daily happenings. For example, every day at a certain time, an elderly man, a giant compared to the doll, would saunter into the room with a gentle smile. He would whistle softly as he posed the dolls and wiped down all their glass walls, each time smiling at them once the faint dust was gone. Because of this, Muse could assume that after a certain amount of time after the man had left with a grin and a wave to his presumed lifeless collection, he would return. Just as Muse began to cockily note how clever she was in her mind, she found that the elderly giant had stopped visiting. She assumed he was only late, and waited longer; though she still found he hadn't shown, no matter how much she waited. She could barely make out anything past the dust beginning to layer on the glass in front of her, and recognized the unmistakable feeling of loneliness in her chest. She had rarely felt any emotions, being a lifeless, unmoving doll; but she couldn't deny she was starting to miss the old giant that cleaned her glass chamber.
She started to lose hope the man would return, and wished she could slump down on her stand in despair. She was startled, suddenly, when she caught something move outside the glass walls. There was a window across the room, decorated with fake plants and floral patterned curtains. It was not unusual what she saw, but it eventually took a turn. She saw a butterfly land on the sensitive petals of a fake tulip, and imagined they would take off again once they realized it was simply made of thin fabric. However, the butterfly fluttered their wings and instead of turning and exiting the room, they flapped their tiny wings and glided across the room. landing on the closest wall of glass that hid the rows of shelves. Muse felt confusion and excitement buzzing inside her, watching as the butterfly crawled across the glass. She noticed it was made of a blurry, dark material, and was unable to tell if it was a solid or not; it managed to slip through the gap between the furthest wall of glass and one of the wooden stands that held up the shelves. It seemed as though it intended to move onto one of the other shelves, though eventually turned and started fluttering past the many doll's glass enclosures. It seemed to examine each of them, pausing in front of each before moving onto the next.
Eventually the blurry, dark butterfly, which Muse noticed had vague markings similar to that of a monarch, began crawling up to Muse's glass cage. It came to a full stop, which Muse assumed was just because she was at the end of the shelf. The butterfly seemed to thoroughly inspect her, fluttering up around her cage. Eventually they landed again on the wooden shelf, and Muse felt hope wither away. Surprise would've widened their eyes as the butterfly pressed against the glass, and a golden lock holding the glass door of her enclosure made a clicking noise as the door creaked open. She would've been paralyzed with shock if she already wasn't able to move; the butterfly fluttered up and rested on her arm, wings softly flapping every now and then. A voice rung in her head, soothing and gentle.
We have a bond, I can tell. Muse couldn't argue with that. Since the butterfly came into her vision, Muse felt at peace, full of wonder and hope she would see something she hasn't ever seen before because of them. This is odd to you, I'm sure. Again, Muse agreed. She had surely seen butterflies before, but never one like this. Nor one that could speak, even if not through voice. See, I'm a shadow. I am here to make a deal. A deal? Muse was interested again, trying to make sense of what they could mean, though they answered before she could come to a conclusion. You see, with this deal we will become companions of sorts. As companions, we will both be benefited. I will guide you, and love you; you were once familiar with love, but have lost it. You feel empty and alone because of it. With me, you won't be any more. You will offer the same; friendship and company. I can show you things you've never seen before, things outside this room. Before the doll had finished, Muse had accepted. She was desperate to be loved again, for any company other than the lifeless dolls around her. I accept, she thought. As her thought finished, she felt her body loosen; limbs moved again, she could move her lips to form words that made noise instead of soundless thoughts, and she could stumble down from her stand, all of which she did. Regaining her balance after she had fallen ungracefully from her glass cage, she looked up at the butterfly that slowly descended into her outstretched arms. The contract has been accepted on both ends. With this i will show you my true form. Muse stared in wonder as the butterfly morphed into a solid object; a grey staff, decorated nicely with a butterfly on the top. Muse felt happier than they ever had, and could feel the same emotion radiating off of their new friend. They stumbled shakily towards the end of the shelf, observing the room through the glass wall protecting the rows of shelves.
"And how will I get out?" Muse asked, doubtfully observing the gap in between glass and wood stand that the butterfly form of her shadow had crept through.
Punch it, her shadow's voice rang in her head. She snorted at that. They were right, she shrugged; she couldn't really get hurt from it or anything. A scratch, maybe. She reared back and felt her first break through the glass, surprised at her strength. We'll climb down now, I guess. Muse giggled at that, nodding in agreement. She used the shelves and one of the wooden pillars in the corner to make her way down, shadow cradled in her arms.
