Nyrn #4Main ThreadWhat Is A Nyrn?
Nyrn are small/medium sized energy absorbing creatures standing at around 30-50cm tall. Originally found in the mountains, they have thick bushy fur across their body, face and paws, they are built for cold climates. Even though Nyrn have retractable claws and sharp teeth, they are herbivorous (vegetarians), they use their sharp claws and long tail to climb trees to pick berries and fruits from trees. Nyrn are extremely adaptable and so do make good companion animals.
Nyrn are born with the gift/ability to absorb energies. Each Nyrn has a different type(s) of energy in which they can absorb. After absorbing these energies, they can use them as powers. Nyrn can display this power in an orb form/psi ball.

Short Story:
The thick fur that covered the adolescent Nyrn's stocky frame served as a barrier against the harsh winds that swept across the barren landscape of white ice and snow better known as the Arctic Tundra. It was one of the many places the male hadn't been before, a place where not many of his kind ventured. He had chosen to visit the isolated nomad's land in the cruel month of winter, when the tundra was at it's coldest, farthest away from the sun and the warmth it offered. He had no relatives or family that he knew of so it made moving from place to place, discovering new places, much easier when he didn't have to worry about his loved one's wellbeing when he was miles away rom them. Dealing with his emotions or even acknowledging them was not something he was talented at, nor was he talented at expressing himself in a way that wouldn't draw confusion across the faces of others. The soft snow beneath the large male's paws gave a soft barely audible crunching sound with each pawstep he took. His blush colored eyes were always observing his surroundings, not wanting to miss a minute of the beautiful Arctic Tundra where not many dared to venture. Polaris continued on his trek, no particular destination or direction in mind, simply wandering wherever his paws took him and wherever the tundra let him go. If he came to the water he would change directions, if he came to a crevice in the ice that was too wide for him to jump he would change directions. It was all about where the tundra allowed him to go, and he respected that. It was, after all, a true force of nature, something that shouldn't be reckoned with.

Name:
Ashwin [meaning 'star']
Gender:
Female.
Energy Type:
Time.
Short Story:
[2:01 pm]
Time. Something that, right now, I don't have much of. I have to be somewhere! Somewhere I have to be. To be somewhere I have. Whatever.
[2:02 pm]
I wish I was older, so that my powers worked more efficiently. Sadly, I'm only 14, so my powers still haven't fully developed. But I still have them! Meaning I can use them to get to where I need to be on time. It's been a whole hour since the certain thing that I missed. Lucky it wasn't any longer, otherwise it would be hard for me. Anyway. If I manipulate time so that it's an hour ago, I can get there! Easy-peasy.
[2:04 pm]
Move my paws in a strange yet effective way... say the words... clap... dance... okay, maybe not clap or dance. But it seems to be working! The world in front of me is moving the same way my paws are. Good sign. Bright light... I think I have to walk towards it. Step through it... am I here? I'm back in my bedroom as I was before, except my clock now says 1:06 pm. No! I spent so much time talking to myself that I'm six minutes late! Rushing down the stairs... Yep. My mum looks mad.
My mum's gonna kill me when she finds out I didn't eat lunch on time.
