Amongst a shady and secretive town an unknown facility is being used for many, many cruel uses. What happens in the building is never said, but animals go in and never come out, sometimes even people. It was said the facility was used for animal testing, but this was in no means an ordinary testing facility.
The animals in the facility were put to the extremes and the pitiless people within the building had no care for them nor mercy. Many a times illegal and lethal drugs touched upon the fur and skin of the animals. Eventually the building was secluded of people, when in 2006 the building was searched and the buildings meaning was found out.
I was one of the people in the party of 8 that searched the building, we were all split up into different rooms. I entered the room I had been assigned, room 141, and narrowly peeked in the room. Afraid of what I saw I desperately searched for a light switch hoping it had just been the shadows and when it was on I wished it wasn't.
I saw scattered heaps of fur lying about every inch of the room. I walked over to check for life in the mutilated and blood-splattered remains of the animals. As I glimpsed to the side I saw a bundle of brown with green markings glowing upon it. It was some type of chemically mutated animal. When I walked towards it a little squeal was heard. I swiftly grabbed the animal and little eyes peered among me. Life, I had found something that was still living that I could help.
I told no one about the animal, but stuffed the young animal into my coat and hid her as best I could. I put the little fur-ball down after I arrived home, but upon taking a second look at the animal I felt bad. The malicious people had changed her destiny, she would have been a nice house pet living happily, but now they've made a destiny for her, one that was unfair and unwanted and would drastically change her life.
As soon I started to get mad, I calmed myself down because they did not change her destiny, her destiny was already chosen before she was born and she was just living it. It was indeed her destiny to pursue an abnormal life different from any other animals. I picked her up and looked her in the eyes and a voice in my head whispered Tala....Tala....Tala. Tala, what a perfect name.
I let Tala go in the Summer for she was getting far too big and life in captivity I could tell she dreaded, she wanted to run free and roam the undiscovered land of the world and I could not help her with that desire by keeping her locked inside a small one-bedroom house. Sometimes Tala still visits me though, she knows the paths here well and travels more vigilantly being careful not to be seen by any eye other than mine. Tala has lived a better life than I had thought possible for her and has pursued and made the best of her unique destiny.
Here's my story ^.^
