Story: Stitch was first born from a litter of six, but she wasn't the family favorite. They lived with a group of strays just outside the city walls. there was plenty of rats to eat, but Stitch couldn't help dreaming about being a forest cat. she often saw them in the forest, there slick pelts slipping into the shadows, there eyes glowing bright. she was often excluded, her siblings would play "catch the mouse" and not include her. two of them wouldn't even talk to her, pretended she was invisible. this didn't bother Stitch she didn't care what they though, she would let her siblings define her. One morning she was about to take a bite out of a juicy rat but her mother swatter her away. "You don't deserve that!" she hissed. Stitch slunk away, she padded near the forest and perked her ears to the sound of scuffling. She walked deeper into the forest following the sound, then she turned around a bush and there was two kits wrestling with each other, unaware that she was there. The biggest kit, a dark tom, looked up and saw her and stopped wrestling, the smaller kit, a light ginger with black paws was confused on why his brother stopped than he too saw Stitch. Stitch didn't know what to say, "Uhh.. Hi... i am Stitch" she managed to say. the two toms looked at each other, then the dark tom said "I am Hawk, and this is my brother Mud," he nodded to the smaller kit, then he smiled and said "You want to play a game with us? we need another player." stunned Stitch replied, "I would love to!" Hawk explained the game, it was much like "catch the mouse" but more rules and with a stone. They played till late in the afternoon, then they hear snarls and growls and yelps coming from Stitch's home. "I have to go!" she said racing away. She followed the yelps an growls getting closer to home but then the noise stopped. she hopped the fence and gasped. Dead bodies were everywhere, her mother, father, two of her sisters were dead. the rest of the strays were dead except for a tom named Snare and the rest of her siblings, they were all huddled together. the smell of dog was everywhere. Snare's left eye was swollen shut and there was a bad gash on his side. My siblings however were untouched, he must have protected them. they looked up at me and i realized they were waiting for my command. it was always the oldest cat that led the strays and Snare was two months younger than me. I lifted my head high, i was not sad about the deaths, no one cared for me anyways, but now they did and i have the respect that i deserve. "Come on i know a place..." i said and we trotted off together into the forest.
