From anyone's point of view, Alastair is a very unapproachable figure. He's into the corrupted politics of America, so why should be trusted? Not to mention that he's often quite cold and strict. Even though he's generally more quiet and reserved, if you get him going on something and you get on his nerves, Alastair can be quite irritable and can lash out. Oh, and he'll be blunt and straightforward about it, too! He won't give up on something he believes in and he'll do whatever means are necessary to get what he wants.Of course, "anger" is simply a way to mask up the true meaning of the word. "Anger" is not a raw emotion, it is rather a high ladder you must climb before you reach "anger". This ladder is known as the ladder of pain and hurt. Other than that, he's too intelligent and witty; although clever and sly might be another way to describe it. Alastair makes it so that he seems greedy. He's quite cheap and doesn't like to spend nor give his money away. Saving money is key for him, just in case anything bad happens. However, with that being said, he's often quite misunderstood. Alastair isn't all too bad, despite his outer appearance being an ominous and stern man. He's simply a realist. Also, he's been hardened over the years from his father's put downs and has learned to keep his inner core to himself. He's a pessimist, as he is a glass-half-empty kind if guy. He worries too much (especially for Taiga, Pomme and Foster), which has brought him to be very overprotective. Alastair has always had a passion for art, even as a young child. His creativity never ceases, as his artwork is his escape. It's quite funny, actually. You might think at first glance that Alastair has an analytical mind -- a mind full of math and equations, but his imagination is much stronger than that. Of course, his spontaneous art is a well kept secret. He doesn't like other people knowing his originality because he's afraid it'll ruin his business name. Alastair donates his art to an art gallery that regularly hosts charity events. They auction of the donated art and the money goes to a charity. In a way, Alastair likes to think he's giving something to the people. Of course, it is always under an alias and never his own name. On the off chance that anyone finds out, Alastair gets really flustered and irritated when his secret is figured out. He's generally not too insecure, but when it comes to his art, he doesn't like people seeing it. He's the same way when you get more into depth with him because he doesn't trust people too easily to let them in. Alastair doesn't let people in often, in fear of being hurt or judged, but even though he won't admit it, he's a complete and utter sap. He's also quite fatherly and has grown to like children after taking in Taiga.
