There are three main tasks you must complete in order to tame and care for your new crownie. If these tasks are not completed by December 1st, your crownie will be rehomed.
The task can either be drawn or written, and must be posted on your adopted crownie's page. Written tasks need to be a minimum of 250 words long, while drawn tasks must include color.
Everything must be done by you and cannot be ordered by someone else.
Task #1 - Introduction
Upon meeting your new crownie, its obvious they will need some time to adjust to being in your stables. Get to know them and their behaviors, and try to gain their trust the best you can.
Task #2 - General Care
Your crownie has been neglected as far as specialty care. They need a good feeding, washing, and trimming to improve their attitude. Scrub off the gunk and condition their coats, and dont forget to trim their hooves, teeth, and fins. As for dinner, a nice juicy steak sounds pretty good...or whatever you have lying around at the moment.
Task #3 - Breaking In The Saddle
These crownies have never been ridden or introduced to any kind of tack before. Show your new companion that its not so bad, and take them out for a good trail ride.

Light flared into the dark trailer as soon as it had been opened. Shae Churchill, owner and founder of West Sea Crowntail Reserve, peer inside as she waited for her eyes to adjust to the dim lighting within the trailer. She could only make out the delicate and vibrantly coloured fins of the Crowntail that huddled in the farthest corner of the trailer, refusing to come out. Shae glanced over her shoulder at Wyatt and Harrison, two of the trainers that worked at West Sea, and gave them a slight head nod telling them she could handle it from here. She knew that some Crowntail's specifically new arrivals were more nervous and shy when there were more humans around. Cautiously walking up the hard ramp of the trailer, Shae kept her eyes on those turquoise fins that almost seemed to glow in the dark. "Hey Salem" her voice arose in a soft tone, but the stallion's breathing still quickened, nostrils flared, his breaths becoming deeper and escaping his body in the form of snorts. "Hey, hey hey, it's alright boy" the blonde woman soothed, holding her hands out in front of her to let him know she wasn't a threat. When Salem's breathing returned to normal, she took a few more steps closer and brought the hand that was clutching onto the lead rope out in front of her so that the Crowntail could sniff at it. To her surprise, the stallion didn't jerk away or snort in alarm at the object, instead he stood still and stretched his neck out, presenting his halter clad head for her to clip the lead to. Shaking herself out of her surprise, Shae clipped the metal clamp onto the leather halter and stroked the stallion's velvety neck as she led him down the ramp.
The next few minutes went by pleasantly as Shae led Salem around the paddocks, letting him get a view of the property before heading towards the barn where she'd let him check out his stall. Birds chirped and flitted above their heads as the blood bay Crowntail walked at her side, his head a few inches above her shoulder, his velvety ears perked forward, capturing every sound around him. Glancing over to the right of her where Salem walked, her lips turned upwards at the sight of the short stallion, eyes wide with curiosity and awe as his turquoise hues darted to and fro, taking in every inch of his surroundings. Leading the stallion into the barn was fairly easy, only taking a few firm tugs on the lead to snap him out of his distracted state as he busied himself in taking in his surroundings. In the next few minutes she had walked him down the aisle of the barn, passing stalls who were occupied by their residents, poking their heads out over their doors to greet the newcomer. Most of the Crowntail's that lived at West Sea were mares, with the exception of one stallion.

The sun rose the next morning as it did everyday and always would, same as Shae. After going about her morning routine of dressing herself, cooking a hearty breakfast for her and the staff who were also residents at West Sea, she sat down with the five other residents, the two men eating more then their fair share of the breakfast while the remaining women, herself included, fought vigorously to protect their stacked plates from the ravenous offenders. When her belly was full, the blonde quickly whipped her locks up into a ponytail as she exited the house dressed din a simple pair of breeches, a black polo, and a pair of paddock boots. Sauntering into the barn she noticed the air seemed a little different. Not the usual chirpiness to it or stillness. Impatient, irritated snorts drew her attention down the aisle. Brows furrowing, Shae shuffled down the length of the stalls until she reached her destination. "What's the matter boy?" she leaned against Salem's stall door, peering inside at the stallion who paced anxiously, nostrils flaring and sides heaving. "I take it you don't wanna be in here anymore, am I right?" she questioned earning a vigorous head bob from the blood bay stallion before her. Chuckling, she grabbed one of the lead ropes that were hanging up on a hook, swung open Salem's stall door, clipped the clamp to his halter and led him out into the aisle. "Alright, so first thing's first, we gotta get your coat lookin' all spiffy and get you lookin' all handsome again" she told him, his ears swivelling in her direction to pick up her words. After clipping him up to the crossties, which thankfully was an easy task, she opened her grooming kit, turning the curry comb over in her hands before holding it under the stallions muzzle letting him sniff it. After a few seconds she began currying his muddy coat, drawing the curry comb in deep circles, loosening the dirt. After currying his body she followed the usual routine and moved onto the hard hard brush then the soft brush, then finally dealing with his hooves that were full of mud, stones and grass.
After scooping it out of all four hooves, she swept the aisle, putting the grooming kit away. Her eyes traveled down to his right foreleg, her blue hues resting on the rich brown wood that took the place of his leg. She had heard about what had happened to him and why he was missing half of his right foreleg but that didn't change anything. She would still treat him like she would any other crown tail she would just keep a careful eye on him until she was sure that he'd be fine in his new surroundings with his leg. Patting his shoulder, Shae brought out the clippers. She had also noticed during the grooming session how his fins had become overgrown and were in dire need of a trimming, so that's what she was doing now. Running a gentle hand over his heck, she started with his dorsal fin. She wasn't sure how he would react to having his fins clipped, but she was hoping he wouldn't give her too much trouble. She gentle touched the cold clippers to his body, feeling Salem's muscles tense up beneath her but he made no move to jerk away or to stop her so she took that as a sign to continue. She brought the clippers back up to the vibrant dorsal fin and clipped off the first portion. She glanced back at Salem's face to see his reaction but the stallion simply stood there, starting ahead of him. Shrugging, the blonde continued with the clipping, finishing with the dorsal fin, tail fin and leg fins in about an hour. Stepping back to admire the gleaming stallion, a smile tugged at her thin lips and she stroked Salem's nose. "Doesn't that feel better?" she cooed, unclipping him from the crossties. "I'll give you your feed and water and then turn you out. I think you should be able to spend the night in the paddock tonight, what do you think?" she asked the short crown tail. Salem's response was a joyous nicker followed by a hearty nudge to the back of the shoulder with his muzzle. Laughing, Shae put him back in his stall, pouring the oats and sweet feed into his feed bucket and filling his water bucket to the brim before kissing his muzzle and leaving the clean stallion to eat.

Shae's boots clicked down the aisle of the barn as she made her way towards the stall that held the new arrival, Salem. The blonde stood in front of the stallion's stall door, a light smile pulling her lips up as she reached out to stroke the stud's smooth face. "Alright, let's see how you take to tack today" she mumbled, securing his halter back over his head as she steered him towards the crossties. After getting the fidgety stallion to stand still Shae managed to clip both crossties to the silver rings of his halter before giving Salem a pat on the neck and promising him she would be back in a few minutes. Striding down the corridor of stalls she made a left turn into the large tack room and headed straight for the black english tack that sat untouched on it's wooden ridge. First was the white fleece saddle pad which she draped over her left arm, followed by the ebony saddle which she sat over top of the saddlepad. Minutes after collecting the matching snaffle bridle, Shae had made it back to Salem who's ears had swivelled back as she approached with an armful of tack. She knew that he would be apprehensive of the tack since he had never been ridden before let alone had any tack other than a halter on him before. Moving past him on his left side she stopped in front of him, facing him, and set the tack down, the saddle and saddlepad on the ground and the bridle on a hook near the crossties. "I promise none of this will hurt you Salem" she assured the blood bay Crowntail who had begun to snort in agitation. The first thing she held up was the fleece saddle pad in all it's white glory. She moved slowly towards the stallion, holding it a few inches under his muzzle so he could smell it. After his nostrils flared a couple times, drinking in the scent, she lifted it up and stroked it along his neck, shoulder and right flank. "See, this thing won't hurt you. If anything it will make carrying the saddle more comfortable for you" she explained, lifting it up and draping it over his back, pulling it up until it reached his withers. Surprisingly, Salem hadn't flinched or jerked away when Shae had placed the saddle pad on him. Next was the saddle. The blonde was almost certain that he wouldn't be as accepting of the saddle as he had been with the saddle pad, since she also had to fasten the girth as well. Using both hands to pick up the saddle she did the same thing she had done with the saddle pad; held it near his muzzle for him to sniff before letting it touch his shoulder and flank. Glancing back at his face from where she stood at his left flank, Shae bit her lip as she lifted the saddle up slowly before lowering it gently down onto his back. She felt his muscles tense beneath her hand and she gently stroked his neck in reassurance. "It's alright boy, I'm not gonna let anything hurt you" she promised him as she fixed the saddle into place. She let him stand there with the saddle pad and saddle on his back so he could get used to it before she moved onto the girth. Now with this, he was bound to be a little frustrated and irritated. She stood in his right flank and fastened the two buckles of the girth not the saddle and let it draped to the ground as she moved round to the other side. Reaching under the short stallion's belly she grabbed the girth and very slowly brought it up to the left side. Instantly Salem's ears pinned back and his hind leg stamped on the ground, his nostrils flaring wide showing his displeasure. "It's alright Salem. It's only the girth. I told you I wouldn't let anything hurt you and I wasn't kidding" she told him as she lifted her left hand and reassuringly stroked his shoulder until he had calmed down. "I'll do this slow so that you can get used to it. It's gonna be a little tight at first but you'll adjust" the blonde pulled the girth up slowly until the buckles could reach the straps of the saddle and she fastened them before taking a step back. "See? That wasn't so bad" she gave the blood bay Crowntail's neck a praising pat. "You're doing so good today boy" she kissed his velvety muzzle.
The bridle was the last thing and surprisingly not the hardest. Same had obediently opened his mouth to take the bit when Shae had asked him to and after tucking his soft ears under the crown piece and strapping up the noseband and cheekpiece along with the throat latch, he was ready to go. "Good boy Salem!" she chuckled and wrapped her arms around his neck in an affectionate hug. She took the reins in her hands and began to lead the stud out of the barn and into the courtyard of the farm. She brought him to a stand not he other side of the old wooden gate that led out to the trails, where she would be taking Salem today. Looping the reins back over his head, she stroked his neck as she put her left foot in the stirrup and hoisted herself up into the saddle, swimming her right leg over his back. The Crowntail tossed his head a few times before Shae managed to calm him down. She gently tapped his sides, urging him into a walk which he obediently obeyed. She smiled as she let him walk up the trail towards the forest.
