bakonos are a species of mammal
that resemble a bat-like creature
with a mane of some sort. they are
omnivores and can eat just about
anything excluding chocolate. they are
around the size of a chihuahua as a
child, around the size of an australian
shepherd as an adolescent, and about
the size of a black bear as an adult.
bakonos have four fingers on each paw,
one of each of the front being
opposable thumbs. in the wild they
live in groups known as prides,
with a male leader or two that guards
over several females and their pups.
domesticated bakonos need at least
one companion--human or bakono,
or even another creature such as a dog--
but the more company the better.
these creatures can have a variety
of markings and tonsof variation in types
of manes, noses, etc.

Hello, I'm the new owner of this species, Lioncourt. I've made it my mission to ensure that this species gets more attention than it does now, so that's why I'm holding a referral contest as my first order of business. <3

For those who have no clue what a referral contest is, it's where you tell friends or other people you know who are around on CS "hey, I know this cute little species!" and give them a link. For each person who marks the main thread [linked above] statinging the user who referred them to us, a point is given to that user. Of course, there are prizes that go to the top three people who refer us to the most people! That's right, three people have the chance to win some sort of prize!

As long as you follow the rules that are stated in this post below this one, and be a good sport, everything should go smoothly!

The end date will be October 5th, so you have almost an entire month!

This involves you putting the species' banner in the signature and PMing friends and others you know about this species, but of course, there are some rules to keep in mind.

• Follow CS' site rules, as usual.

• DO NOT go around PMing random people you don't know and refer them. It's very annoying and can be an inconvenience, so just don't do it! If I am alerted of someone PMing random people about this, they will be disqualified from this competition immediately. I don't want to do that, so make sure you avoid that </3

First place will receive a free custom Bakono with up to two minor edits [fluffier, different styled mane, fangs or longer claws, no tail, missing eye or ear, etc. Just nothing too crazy like wings!] You get to choose palette, variations, markings, and everything like that!

Second place will also receive a free custom- they can choose the palette, markings, and variation types, but they won't be able to put any sort of edits on them.

Third place will receive a ticket to change one variation type of a Bakono that they own. Their tail, mane, nose, or tongue. They won't be able to add edits, however.
