What is a Makoatl?
A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the Greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

My one & only event mako b/c I'm a lazy slob.

This EPS mako was found trawling the beach, but seems very skittish and afraid of other makos. When upset, it spits out black ink from its mouth.
Why is this mako so afraid of other makos??

Reason for fear of other makos: Calypso lived the first few years of her life in a secluded underwater cave by herself. Because of this, she doesn't understand any language known to any mako or other species (She communicates with various whines, groans, and squeaks instead). Since she can't understand anything that other makos try to communicate to her, she automatically assumes they all mean her harm so she tries her best to avoid any and all close interaction with others.

Reason for fear of other makos:

Ten don't really have a fear of other Makos, it's more so that he has a fear of them being scared of him. This fear mostly stems from his eyes. He knows they can be pretty scary, has even scared himself more than once when looking into a mirror (and may have even spat out a little bit of ink...), so he has a strong fear of other Makos also finding him scary and thus avoiding him.

To try and get around this fear, he usually walks around with his "hair" in front of his eyes. Therefore, he usually walks around looking down so he can see where he's going at least somewhat.

As you could imagine though, that doesn't really help at all. Ten's fear of others fearing him won't let him break his habit of covering his eyes so he is possibly the most clumsy Mako out there.

Reason for fear of other makos: Occi never knew of her parents.She was left on that beach from her first years--she's never interacted with another Mako before. She would always watch them from her small island home,where she lived with a bunch of her animal friends that she seems to understand better than her own species. She was always curious about other Mako's,but soon that curiosity vanished when she witnessed a poacher,come onto her island and stealing some of her friends!She hid from them of course,but ever since then her fear in other Mako's has risen.

Ibisco just doesn't like other Makos in general. Maybe it's because to him, they all
look weird. They don't have that mutation like him, so he guesses that they are
the Makos with the mutation. He just decides not to talk to them and avoid them
completely. He's actually a bit afraid of the other 'weird' Makos...because he believes
that they have some weird power, like lazer eyes or something...
