You can complete these by either writing a story about the task (No less than 250 words) or drawing the task being completed (must be done by you, show exactly whats happening, and be fully colored!). You can even do both if you want!Required Tasks:
#1: Meeting your rabbit. (What drew you in and made you wanna take this baby home? How did they act around you at first? How did you gain their trust?) Complete!
#2: Cleaning your rabbit. (Youre bunny is in some serious trouble! Their claws are long and cracked, their teeth over grown, their fur matted, and wow do they need a bath!) Complete!
#3: Training your rabbit. (Your bunny has no training or manners! Get them potty trained, walking on a leash, and behaving like a proper house rabbit.) Complete!Eulee wrote:One color OR pattern you like: Broken Black? (Is this even a coat or pattern? I don't know. I can change it if needed.)
Three or less colors you dont like: Lilac, blue or squirrel
Three or less patterns you dont like: Solid

Meeting Your Rabbit
Looking around again, I couldn't help but gasp. It seemed like after every glance, the scene just kept getting worse and worse. The stench was nearly unbearable. My eyes were starting to burn, and it just became too much. Gasping for air, I wandered outside quickly. All those rabbits.. Who would do such a terrible thing? I pulled out my phone and ended up Googling the number to the nearest rabbit shelter. I started dialing the number frantically, and started counting the times it rung. Once. Twice. Three times. At this rate, I was going to be forwarded to voicemail. Come on, come on, come on, I thought, just pick up, please..
"Hello?" a female voice answered.
"Yeah, hi." I mumbled back. I didn't have time for small talk. "Listen, here's the thing. I need you guys to come out here. I was out for a walk and I think I stumbled across some black market animal trade. There's gotta be at least 20 rabbits here, all in poor condition. Can you guys come?"
Nothing but silence. "Hello?" I muttered. "Hey, did you hea-" I was cut off with a beeping noise telling me she'd hung up. I muttered some choice words to myself before I tried calling again. Right to voicemail. I tried again. Ditto. Why wouldn't they pick up? I paced around for a few minutes, bracing myself. Then I went back into shack.
I was scanning over the cages, seeing some of the rabbits when the door slammed open. Thinking I was a goner, and that the people of the black market found me, I covered my face.
"Are you the one who called us?" a deep voices boomed. I uncovered my face to find a guy in a shirt from the shelter staring back at me.
"Y-yes.." I stuttered. "These are the rabbits I found."
He glanced around, his jaw dropping. "I knew there'd be some rabbits, but I didn't think there'd be this many.." he whispered.
He disappeared out the door, only to come back moments later with more people. They started grabbing the rusted crates and taking them in to their van. I watched in awe, unable to move. All I could do was watch the rabbits as they were taken out. Soon, they were done.
"You can come with if you'd like to see how they're doing," the guy offered, and left to the van.
~~~~~
I ended up going along. It was a long ride, and I'd rather not stay around to meet the people who put the rabbits in the shed in the first place. I sat for the longest time in the waiting room of the shelter, eventually, they let me in to the back.
All the cages were full with rabbits. They informed me that once a rabbit was healed and healthy, that it would be put up for adoption. They told me how I was welcome to look around at the rabbits, and with that they were gone. I peeked in to the cages of the rabbits, just to see sickly does and bucks. I nearly gave up looking through all of them when one doe caught my eye.
Her back was facing me, her spots in clear view. She was leaning again the wall. It was like she didn't expect to be getting out anytime soon, even though she miraculously looked healthy. I tried going and looking through the rest, but I could only think about her. She invaded my thoughts, and I knew I had to have her.
When I came back to her cage, I peeked in again. She didn't seem to notice or care. I opened the cage, and only then she slightly turned her head. She stared at me doubtfully, but still watched me. I carefully reached in to pick her up, careful to avoid being bitten, and nothing. She let me pick her up with ease. I held her close to me, and she lay there until she fell asleep. I stroked her ears, sand carried her to the front.
"Hello th-" she started, before stopping. "I'm going to guess you want to take that one with you?"
I nodded, and was handed the paperwork. I filled it out, and brought the doe to my car. Her eyes only fluttered open when I started the engine. We peacefully drove home.
~~~~~
We spent the next few days together. She surprisingly seemed to trust me. I guess she realized I wasn't going to hurt her. Of course, I had to keep her in a room with a baby gate (I still had to potty train her) and had access to toys, water and hay at any given time. She seemed pretty happy with her new life. Finally, it was time to name her. I stated long and hard at her. Her eyes were just gorgeous. For some reason, the first name that popped in to my head was Alaska. It seemed to be a perfect name. And her show name could be Aurora Borealis. It was perfect.

Cleaning Your Rabbit
Looking at Alaska's appearance, I knew a lot had to be done. But where did I even start? She definitely needed a bath, something done with that matted fur, nail trimming, and something had to be done about those overgrown teeth. I decided after quite a bit that maybe it'd be best to start with the bath. After a quick trip to the pet store, I had everything I needed.
Knowing that baths could be stressful to rabbits, I grabbed a wash rag and wet it slightly. On it I put the rabbit shampoo that was supposed to not need water to wash out. I started slowly getting at the dirty fur. It didn't seem too hard at first, but then I had discovered it was like layers of dirt. Layer after layer of mud caked into her fur. But I was determined to care for her, and I kept at it. After what felt like hours of vicious dirt, I had finished.
I then started with the matted fur. I took out a small pair of scissors and started carefully cutting the matted fur off. I figured it'd be easier than trying to get through the fur with a brush and hurting Alaska. Snip snip went the scissors, cutting as if the fur was as soft as butter. Once I finished trimming, I combed through once or twice to make sure her coat was neat.
The nails and teeth. Both were obviously overgrown. Having no idea how to properly trim either, Alaska and I got in the car and went to the vet. I watched carefully as she showed me how to trim the nails and then the teeth so that Alaska wouldn't get hurt. I took some notes for future reference, and we were soon on our way back home. I looked at Alaska once again and smiled. She looked so much cleaner now, so much more presentable. I couldn't wait to start training her.

Training Your Rabbit
Alaska and I locked eyes and I couldn't help but chuckle to myself. I could tell that the most difficult part was finally nearing; training Alaska. As content as she seemed with going to the bathroom wherever she wanted, something has to be done, because this wasn't cutting it. I set up a litter box off to the side for her, thinking maybe she'd get the hint. Nope. On to Plan B. Every time she looked like she was going to go to the bathroom where she felt like, I quickly scooped her up and moved her to the litter box. We repeated this over and over again, until she seemed to be getting frustrated. Eventually, she gave in and would just go over on her own to the litter box.
Next I brought out a harness and put it on Alaska. She accepted that it wasn't coming off, a lot quicker than I expected her to. I stood there, expecting a fight, but nada. I clipped it on with ease to then clip the leash on. Something wasn't right. If I knew anything about Alaska, it was that she wouldn't go down without a fight. Maybe she has changed? We went outside and started for the walk. I wheezed as she dashed, dragging me with her down the street. How pathetic, right? A girl being dragged down the street by what, a 20 pound rabbit? "Stop!" I screeched, nearly tripping. I tugged the leash back softly, praying she'd get the message; she did. She slowed down to a much slower pace, one where I wasn't being dragged if I wasn't right next to her. After some more "walks", Alaska was finally trained to walk properly on a leash, and I was able to take down the gate to let her roam freely around the house. Of course, we had a few incidents, but nothing too major.

Saying Hi To The Vet
Since Alaska had become healthier than when I first got her, I figured it was about time for the vet to see her. As we sat in the car, I giggled thinking about her first vet visit. It had been an absolute disaster; everything that could have gone wrong had gone wrong.
When I had first brought her in, she had been a dirty mess. Her fur was matted and caked with dirt, her nails and teeth overgrown, untrained. As soon as we walked through the door, she peed all over. Once we had cleaned it up, the vet took her to be examined. Which would have been great, had she not decided to run away. We spent a good 10 minutes chasing her around the office before we finally caught Alaska. When the vet had caught her, she had picked her up and finally gave her the check-up. Alaska was perfectly healthy, aside from the obvious neglect she showed.
Since that day, we hadn't gone back. I parked the car and carried her inside. It was clear that she wasn't happy one little bit. Refusing to move from the car seat, I practically had to rip her off of the car seat and drag her inside. As soon as the vet saw her, he laughed. She stared at this new guy, watching him attentively. She threw me a look that said, "if he tries anything, I'm going to bite him" and I couldn't help but laugh as I shook my head. He ran through the check-up pretty quickly, and Alaska didn't attempt anything. I scooped her up and carried her back out to the truck. "See, that wasn't too bad, now was it, Alaska?" I giggled. She curled up as we drove on the long road home. This hadn't gone as bad as I thought it would, and I was quite relieved. Maybe next time she won't even think about threatening the vet.
