Sherrinford loved to hang upside down from things. He didn't know why, other than the fact that bats did something similar to what he did. He never stopped to consider that what he was doing was different from other Kokos, so when he finally started meeting them, he realized that this odd quirk of his was much different than the typical. Sherrinford started showing off using his natural talent, and became well known for his batty antics. No one could really blame him anyways; it wasn't everyday you saw someone upside down from a branch or a rock face.

When Cinder was young, her home caught fire in a storm. She woke to the smell of the burning wood all around her. Her family made it out, but forgot about her. She did find her way out eventually, but her pelt stunk of the smoke. Even though she smells like smoke, she cant really smell it on her. She can only smell it if something else is burning. Many find it odd and very strange, but she ignores them. She has her own fire place with no chimney just so she can have the scent of the smoke, and so the burning process wont be as dangerous since it is in a protected area. So Cinder likes smoke, there's nothing wrong with that.
