Happy birthday Immy, my dearest friend!

Many nights have I felt alone and doubted myself, struggling with insecurities, anxiety, and other such pains. But I always know that no matter how low I get, I have a wonderful friend who listens and carves out time in her busy schedule to respond. And she's willing to share with me and treat me as an equal, which is so wonderful after being in unbalanced friendships before. ^^ You deserve so much more than I can give, but that won't stop me from trying my best! You already have a book dedicated to you, though it's a far way from being complete.

Your dedication to your friends, art, and efforts here is amazing, as is your determination at Uni, from what I've heard of all the snail and spider reports! I am so grateful for my friend across the pond! Every PM I receive from you is a joy, as is every stream we share! (Though we badly need to do so again, it's been too long.) I am truly blessed to have such a fantastic person in my life, and CWHR is so lucky to have an artist like you! (Miss-35-Mustangs!) (Also I am still searching diligently to find your favorites- one day!)

But now onto the more serious side of things…

I’ve met so many wonderful people on the internet, especially DeviantArt and Chicken Smoothie. Here on CS this is most apparent here at Cottonwood Wild Horse Ranch, arguably the most successful equine adoptable in the Adoptable Oekaki board, let alone the most successful realistic equine adoptable. I firmly believe that this is due to the community spirit this adoptable seems to have created. People from all over the world, all walks of life and with all degrees of experience with equines have been united by this one adoptable. United by our shared love of equines, Cottonwood’s community is one of the strongest I’ve been privileged enough to be one very small part of!

But of all the amazing and wonderful people I have come to know here, and all over the internet for that matter, there is one who has always been there. Whenever I’ve been down, she’s always helped to pick me up again with her kind words and tender personality. Whenever something amusing has happened at my end, I have been able to share that moment with her. This year may have seen both our ends go quieter than last year, but we have still shared the same tears and laughter we have ever since the day we first started to keep PM correspondence with one another. Most of you probably know who this wonderful person is by now, from the numerous soppy messages I post, but I feel she deserves far more credit than she gets or even accepts.

This wonderful person I am describing is none other than SerenWish.

While we have never met face-to-face, she has seen me at my best and she has seen me at my worst. She has been able to brace herself against my temper and my emotional outbursts. Even my close friends and family are not able to cope with me at the best of times and often have to leave me to it (I can hardly blame them- I’m usually calm, but I can be like a mad mare at times!) It is then when SerenWish, with the most amount of patience and affection I have ever seen on a human being, is able to calm me down with every PM she sends me.

I try my best to match her level of kindness not just for her, but for every friend that I am lucky enough to have. However every time I try I find myself unable to compare, for I’m not sure that I could find anyone who could quite compare to my beloved SerenWish. So it is not just this wonderful gift I have to be grateful for, but every moment that this amazing woman takes out of her schedule to be my friend.
