Name: Igneous (Named for the fiery red of his eyes and the way his markings look like charred bones)
Which one: Black
Gender: Male
Personality:Clever. Cunning. Ruthless. These are words often used to describe the Indominus Rex. They are also words that can be used to describe Igneous. He holds not only brute strength but a calculating intellect; strip him of his teeth and he'd still be just as dangerous. Life is pitifully easy and repetitive when there is no one who can threaten you, so stimulation comes from turning the mundanities into a sick game where the only winners are those who can run fast enough to stay out of his sight. A creature of greed, Igneous is constantly hungry for power and will never settle for anything less than what he wants. Second place isn't good enough for him. He'll do whatever it takes to dominate the food chain. Unfortunately, that often means showing no mercy. Your best hope for survival is to hide and hope he never notices your existence.
Will you keep them active to the threads? As much as I'd like to answer yes to this, I can't seem to find any sort of fanclub or RP threads on the main post! Obviously I can't keep him active in any threads if I don't know about them (though if someone wouldn't mind pointing me to them, I'd definitely take a look). I can, however, keep Igneous active through my own personal use by making additional art and stories of him. I'm actually quite excited about the concept I have for him, so I have plenty of incentive to develop him further.
How many hatchlings/chicks can they have?:The answer to this, I'm assuming, is two. Claire tells us that in addition to the Indominus we see in the film, there had also been a sibling in case the original I-rex didn't make it to adulthood. Of course, said sibling never made it to adulthood on account of being eaten by her sister, but there were still two created so I'm going to say that Indominus can have two chicks.
Why do you want an Indominus?:His species being an Indominus wasn't the reason I wanted him, at least not initially. In fact, it actually made more tentative about applying because of the rule that you can only own one Indominus. What really drew me about him was his design. I usually stay away from red and black color schemes because of how common they are for but somehow it just works on this guy (the brownish tint, while faint, also makes it much more pleasing to the eyes, at least in my opinion). Not to mention those skeletal markings are absolutely to die for. While brainstorming ideas I could use if I did apply, I fell completely in love with this one in particular. I felt like it fit really well with the species traits of Indominus without making him a carbon copy of the one in the movie. I thought about it and decided I just had to try to make Igneous my one Indominus.
pic of Indominus from Jurassic World:
Indominus may be quite subtle in the picture, but this had to be one of the most suspenseful scenes from the movie. It's also my personal favorite. Seeing the Indominus' reflection in the gyrosphere and hearing Gray whisper "five" made my stomach drop even during the second time I watched it. You can see the fear slowly creep up on not just the boys, but also in the face of the Ankylosaurus. Despite having already racked up a death toll by that point in the movie, this was the part that really made me fear what the Indominus could do.
2 paragraph story:Though neither neither rain nor lightning were anywhere in sight, a thunderous rumble shook the ground to its very core. Igneous smirked at the rapid footsteps of a raptor darting deeper into the jungle. Nobody could mistake the sound of his roar. It was often the only warning they had in the split second before his jaws snapped shut. With one last snigger, Igneous continued the trek back to his territory ("territory", of course, being a relative term; the whole island could have been rightfully called his territory). It always brought him great satisfaction to hear the rustle of foilage or bending of trees as lesser creatures scrambled to move out of his way. Though now was perhaps the least hazardous time to approach him, while his arms and mind were occupied, there was no such thing as a safe moment around Igneous. Those that believed otherwise ended up like the cargo he carried.
Gradually, the volume of tiny noises diminished, then ceased altogether. Anyone in their right mind would know better than to be caught near the rocky alcove that served as his den. Once he had stepped inside, Igneous finally relieved his claws of their load. It was a Tyrannosaurus skull, the bone picked nearly clean. Time would take care of the pieces that remained. It wasn't the first T-Rex he had ever killed, but it was by far the largest. He set it down next to the wall, along which stretched a row of even more skulls. Triceratops, Pteranadon, Velociraptor, even a heavily fractured human and young Mosasaurus were among the line up. If the way others fled at the mere quake of his feet was not proof of his supremacy, then this physical record surely was.
