Duinnes are an ancient race of tiny androgynous forest spirits. They are very social creatures and spend most of their time with and around other duinnes, however they usually are not very fond of humans. They are very small, and range in size from 4 to 8 inches tall when fully grown. They are all very unique, and will decorate themselves with flowers, jewelry, and even tattoos, much like humans do. They are often mistaken for fairies, however they do not have wings and they cannot fly. They spend most of the day sleeping, and their favorite beds are flowers. Duinnes eat primarily small berries, flowers, seeds, and root vegetables. Duinnes are excellent climbers, and have strong, stout fingers equipped with short claws that help with grip. They are very good at camouflaging themselves with their environment, and can be found hiding under rocks, leaves, and even pieces of loose bark. They are very crafty, and love to cause mischief.

This duinne has scars all over its body. Many researchers speculate it may have been a warrior, but no conflicts have ever been reported within the duinne species. That being said, this creature is revered by other duinnes, and it has been gifted many garments such as silver jewelry and spider silk garments.

The duinne, named Cillian (little warrior), speaks very little and for good reason. At a young age they took a vow to keep a good friend's secret, one that was very dear and precious. Easily swindled out of the truth by the friend's enemies, Cillian's loose lips caused humiliation and eviction from the forest for their friend. Horrified with themselves, they rose to challenge the enemies and run them out, accepting any pain as they deserved it for their betrayal. When the friend finally returned, they too marked Cillian with deep scars, to make it even with the emotional scars Cil gave them.

Where did this duinne's scars come from?:
Ekkin isn't a very sweet Duinne- she likes to get rough and make mistakes.. a lot of them, too. This Ekkin recieved her scars from heavy acid being thrown at her, in an assassination attempt made by one of her 'close friends'. She recovered, luckily, but still holds a bitter grudge on her.

Where did this duinne's scars come from?: He met a very hostile creature, he can't remember what it looked like. Although he has never said anything about what happened, he has nightmares of red eyes, coming to get him. Here's a list of some of his nightmares:

- Being surrounded by many pairs of eyes
- Watching himself turn evil. Transformation began with red eyes
- Taking a walk in the forest, and in every bush or tree there is a pair of red eyes.
- His middle eye turning deep deep blood red and started crying blood

He sleeps very little and is very quiet. He seems to find no joy in riches.

Where did this duinne's scars come from?:
When Ekkin was born, he was not wanted particularly by his family- it was rough and they had no money to support a child. Fearful, they attempted to kill the unborn child by poisoning it. This, however, did not work, as Ekkin was born, though with many scars.

Hello, thank you for your entry! I would like to kindly point out that duinnes lack the ability to reproduce and there has never been a recorded instance of a duinne being "born". Duinnes cannot be pregnant or have babies.
