Akvavit is wary, they do not approach other Zvers or humans easily, preferring to avoid contact. Despite this, they hold a curiosity- a desire the see and experiment with the world around them, a desire Akvavit quenches with observation. They may display submissive behaviour, but that should not be mistaken for unwavering compliance, as they are always alert and aware of their surroundings. They ensure their knowledge of each and every entry and exit to a location, quickly and with precision, making them able to make a hasty escape. But more than observing their environment, Akvavit observes the Zvers and humans around them. They watch closely to other creature's interactions, to their movements, and identifies their weaknesses. Akvavit, through careful observation, identifies physical ailments that plague other creatures, as well a developing an understanding of personality traits that could be exploited. They infer the mental properties and capabilities and use this with a kind of ruthlessness found only within a creature that knows what's it's like to sit at the very bottom, and because they understand that pain, Akvavit is more than willing to be the cause of that pain for others.
Akvavit is selfish and does not help others unless they feel threatened or believe there is something that they can get from it. Nor do they expect any form of help from anyone else, Akvavit conceals their problems and troubles from prying eyes. They keep their thoughts to themselves, and rarely share what they are thinking or feeling with others, and never the complete picture. Though they may not appear tense, their unsettledness can be seen in how they don't relax, and hold themselves ready- to move or run at any moment. Akvavit is naturally anxious, but maintains a quiet confidence, one that does not surface nor can be seen by others often, but this nevertheless holds Akvavit together and gives them faith in their own decisions, allowing them to act decisively.
Akvavit is not as physically capable as other Zvers, so prefers to avoid fighting, because of this, they became adept at fleeing and hiding, as well as deception. They are content to lie, if it is necessary for survival, but does not deceive others for any kind of entertainment. Akvavit is a fast runner, and capable of traversing many terrains with skill, as well as being deft in picking out a route in a more complex landscape and being able to accurately judge how far or how high they can jump. While their physical capabilities may be sub-par, Akvavit is highly intelligent, even for a Zver. They are quick to mistrust and tend to assume that other creatures have motives for doing things, but while Akvavit is a fearful Zver, they do desire security and companionship. However, fulfilling these desires is difficult for Akvavit, who who does not trust often, nor is usually loyal to others, and who is quick to turn their back on any they believe is no longer useful to them.
