something about frogs: during the summer, there is a greatly increased chance of both rain and tornadoes or hurricanes (especially where i live). occasionally, a small tornado may pass over a body of water, and the water- along with any animals in it- is scooped up into the storm. there are several documented cases of this happening...with frogs!

so it may not be able to rain cats and dogs, but there's certainly a chance of it raining frogs!
