Name: Zehgu
How Did He Get Here?:
It was an especially dreary night for Zeh. After weeks of wandering alone, separated from his birth herd, the young male was close to exhaustion and beginning to slowly starve to death. He was always a submissive fawn, unable to brave the hunting trips most young Dusas take to learn how to feed the herd. Looking back now he curses his skittish nature and all the problems derived from it. Mumbling to himself as he trudged along a river bank, he ran face first into an old wooden fence. He jumped back in surprise and fear, stomping his hooves and slipping into the shallow water beside him. With a splash he was sitting in the middle of the creek, mud splattered all over his soggy coat, his heart beating a mile a minute. He stood on shaky legs and maneuvered clumsily out of the bone chilling water, only to flop down on the bank with a sigh. He was simply not cut out for being a lone Dusa, and he knew it. He closed his eyes, if only for a moment. When he opened them again however, he was curled up in a haystack, with pricks of morning light gently bathing his still damp coat. He looked up squinting at the cracked stained glass that was causing such disturbance to his sleep, only to find that two more Dusa were laying under said window with curious grins plastered on their faces. He made a pitiful yelping sound as he struggled to jump backwards, but managed only to flop deeper into the hay pile. The smaller female approached him gently, giving Zeh his space until he calmed down. She bent down and nuzzled him as her way of making sure he was alright, before nickering softly to the male behind her. He didn't seem too pleased but listened anyways, assuring Zeh's suspicions that this doe was the alpha. The spotted male came back with a rusted metal pale in his jaws, and dropped it with some unnecessary force right in front of Zeh's face. It was filled to the brim with fresh meat. Zeh didn't waste one second deciding if eating a strange Dusa's meal was safe or not, and dug right in. The female smiled and nipped at the grouchy males ear, leading him out of the shed-like structure through a swinging door. Zeh immediately felt an overwhelming sensation of contentment, and once his meal was finished he curled up in his bed spot and let the soothing sound of fluttering songbirds and the warmth of the evening sun lull him into a deep and much needed slumber.
