For the last four ages, chimeras and dragons have terrorized the world of Kaldafyra, laying waste to the land and its people. But it was prophesied that a hero would come.

When the last light of boldest sun
Fires in the winter skies
Shall be born a hero strong
With the mark of the sun in his eyes
He will come as wildfire
Take back what was our own
Far to heaven he flings his cry
And restores our ravaged home.

On the last day of winter, as the sun descended into a blood-red sky, it gave birth to a horse, tall and strong with eyes the color of the sun. He sent forth his ringing battle cry and plunged into the forces of the evil ones. For half an age more, he fought, and at long last, he drove the monsters into the sea, from whence they were never heard from again. Ever since, Karkorran has paced Kaldafyra, protecting his world from invaders. When his cry rings over the mountains, like the cry of an eagle, battle has begun, but Karkorran will end it.

Born to a fjord mare and a Irish Draught stallion, Brave was a smaller foal. He was hardy, strong and determined. He was not likely to give up easily. He was born in a Cavalry regiments barn. The fjord mare was used to breed sturdy and cold resistant foals, while the stud gave them height, speed and strength. A brilliant invention discovered by accident, 3 years before Braves birth. At the age of 6 months he weaned easily. He began his own herd of bachelor foals, he was the leader. He put them all in their place. 2 years later, he was broken in. He took to that nicely. He was well mannered, brave and strong. He was still the leader of the horses. Due to his proud carriage, the Captain of the regiment chose him to be his own mount. They formed a great bond. He was proud to have Brave at his side. After a while, Brave recieved a medal of bravery after leading thirteen charges, saving over 300 people and saving his rider a few times. One day, his rider got injured in a practise charge, when Brave tripped and he was thrown. He ended up in hospital and Brave didn't know what had happened. He stopped eating and started to pine for his rider. Since the Captain was an older fellow he was given an early retirement. He came to see Brave one last time and then he never saw him again. Brave went wild. He wouldn't let anyone ride him and threw everyone off. He was declared dangerous after he savaged a few mounted soldiers. He was sold to the Twilight Circus where he has a uneventful life and he can enjoy a retirement from the army. He still misses the Captain and the army but he understands that he is too old for that now. He has calmed down a lot but he still is the leader!

Grimsby was a poor horse usually pulling plows all his life. He never new his mother since she died at birth. His father on the other hand never cared for him. Not once had he spoken to Grimsby. Grimsby never new why. His owner, a old farmer, had to sell Grimsby one day. The farmer was running low on money. He couldn't by food for his family let alone his horses. Since Grimsby was a strong, sturdy horse, the farmer thought that he would be the best to sell. Grimsby sold at 20 pounds to one of the knights that served the king. There was a war going on between the kingdom of Gazadan and the kingdom of Zambizi. Zambizi's king was a mean for that matter. Murdering anyone who didn't feel right to him. Two years later after Grimsby had much war training, Grimsby was sent into battle with the king's knight. Grimsby trusted the knight with his life and they went into battle to fight the kingdom of Zambizi. They were in the battle of their lives. The king was fighting and if they defeated the king, Zambizi would be demolished. A bomb struck within a few feet of Grimsby. They flew into the air. The knight died. He flew into the air and landed on a spear. Grimsby had to defeat the king. He was trained for this. He had to kill the king. He was injured with a spear in his hip. He was running towards the king. He had a clear path. Just as he was about to smash the king with his hooves, the king pulled up a spear. Grimsby fell onto the spear. He killed the king, but he died to. The kingdom of Gazadan forever honored Grimsby. When Grimsby's father heard of the news. He cried. He never ate, never drank until he died. His father became so depressed of not ever talking to Grimsby. And we will never know why.
