The aspect of being around humans is startling and anxiety-inducing, and they would rather curl up in voluntary isolation or with a doll they can trust in order to wait out the storm of conflict that comes with such ideas.

What's her disposition towards humans?
Allie thinks that most humans are pretty gross, what with all their eating and sweat and smelly excrement, but sometimes individual humans aren't too bad if you're willing to get to know them. Allie actually likes visiting humans sometimes. Mostly the smaller ones because they have lots of imagination and are just plain cute.

And they don't totally flip out when they see a talking doll like the bigger ones do.
