Bio: Pia was born into a small family of Viscets.
Her dam was a very good mother, and Pia never knew her father.
She did have one sibling, a younger brother by the name of Phoenix.
However, they were born during a famine caused by pollution
and were driven away from their pack by the alpha.
Pia had developed a strong attachment to Phoenix by
then and swore to protect him no matter what.
She hid in trees and waited until other Viscets walked by.
Then she would jump down and pounce on them,
stealing whatever food they had. She went hungry most days,
but Phoenix gained weight and grew quite strong.
Eventually, Phoenix found a mate and left Pia
to start his own pack of Viscets, leaving Pia to continue life as a loner.
She visits Phoenix often and has a fun, generally easy life. She has yet
to join a pack, but who knows if she will?



Best Friend: Pia befriended an Australian Shepherd by the name of "Max"
shortly after Phoenix left her. The two balance each other out,
Max keeping Pia's mischief in check and Pia ensuring that Max has fun.



Story: Phoenix smiled at Pia from the base of the tree.
"Get back in the bushes!" Pia hissed at her
brother. He was going to give everything away! Her stomach rumbled,
reminding her of how much she needed this to be successful.
Pia scaled the tree easily, her long claws slipping into the bark and
her tail swishing back and forth as she balanced herself with it.
Glancing down, she saw that Phoenix had retreated off the path
and back into the bushes. Thank goodness.
A few squeals, followed by crackling leaves and breaking twigs,
alerted Pia to a presence down the path. Pia took a deep breath,
sampling the air and finding that two Viscets were on their way.
And they had food! The delicious smell of berries and nuts
made Pia's mouth water. She willed her stomach not to
rumble as she silently crept onto a low branch that hung over
the path. The two Viscets, a male and female, probably
out scavenging for their pack, approached. They looked happy
and well fed, which was great. Pia would never take food from
Viscets that were starving as well, but this pair looked almost
plump. Her tail swished in concentration and balance as she waited.
Pia decided they were close enough and jumped down, landing easily,
in an almost cat-like way. The two Viscets squealed in surprise as
Pia approached them. The couple looked sweet and kind, and Pia didn't
want a fight over a few nuts. She immediately switched directions of her
"attack". Flicking her tail in a signal, Phoenix crawled out of the bushes
and approached the two shocked Viscets, standing next to Pia.
"Excuse us, but do you happen to have any extra food?
We've been hungry for days, and we can't seem to find any."
The pair scanned Pia and Phoenix nervously, their eyes
obviously picking up on their matted coats and hollowed eyes.
The female nodded first, dropping some berries in front of
Pia. The male glanced at his partner nervously before dropping
some of his nuts. "Yeah, sure." Their voices were tight with
nervousness and curiosity, and Pia smiled, pushing the newly
found food towards Phoenix. "Thank you so much." Pia grinned,
stepping out of the pair's path. "Have a wonderful day!" The pair called
as they padded away. "Well, they were nice." Pia murmured as she watched
Phoenix eat. When he was full she took a few of the remaining berries from the
small pile and turned away. "Ready to learn how to climb trees?"



Personality: Pia is a little trickster, as her name suggests.
She hides her loyalties and rarely trusts others,
instead tripping up any Viscet who bothers her with little tricks.
She is quite mischievous and finds herself in a pickle very often.
She uses her controversial coloring and velvety voice to
confuse anyone and get whatever she'd like. Although some would
consider her trickery as a bad trait,
Pia doesn't think her tricking of others is negative.
She uses her mischievous side to protect those she
loves and would never actually hurt anyone.
She lives as a loner and prefers to be alone,
although she can be a bit flirtatious at times.
Don't mistake her for all big talk, however.
She's tough and can hold her own in front of anyone.
She's very emotionally stable and will never act upset in public.

Avalbane cares greatly for her appearance, and will often spend hours making sure she looks her absolute best. She hates going anywhere where she might be perceived as ugly, so she always prepares beforehand to look her best in any and every situation that arises.

Posture and Gait
Avalbane is anything but meek and modest. She holds her head high, and walks with a swaying gait - she doesn't look very humble at all. She flaunts her beauty, and doesn't take any flack about what others say about her color - she knows what she looks like, and she doesn't care if others think of her in a negative light. This attitude definitely comes across in her confident posture and her prideful gait.

Coordination
Avalbane isn't a klutz at all, and is rather graceful. She never trips or falls down, and has an excellent sense of balance.

Avalbane is very talkative, but only if the other being is willing to listen. If the being keeps interrupting her, she'll clam up extremely quickly. "So...you just want me to talk about myself? Hm. Seems sort of self-centered, but okay. I was born on November 22...well, hatched on that date. I was born sometime earlier, but the actual BIRTH DATE isn't counted until the Viscet has hatched - or, at least, that's how it is in my family.
"If I had to pick a style that I'd say is closest to my own...well, I don't really have a name for it. I'd sort of see why others would call it 'punk,' but I would call it more of a mixture between 'mainstream' and 'high-fashion' with a little bit of plaid thrown in for a well-rounded style. It's...well, it's a little weird to explain in words. You just sort of have to see it to understand.
"Anyways, moving on. You said you wanted me to talk about my life? I live in an area that gets moderate rainfall, but not very much. I do sometimes hang around humans - but only a rare few. I don't really like most humans. They stare at me. Some will even throw rocks at me! I guess they see me as a vicious being, when I'm anything but. Oh well. Anywho, the ones I DO hang around are very confident of themselves and have excellent taste in fashion. I love seeing all the beautiful things that they wear and show off to their friends. I hang around them to pick up tips and to understand the human lifestyle a little bit better, as I figure that these people are the better side of what humanity has to offer. They've never hurt me, and often watch carefully where they step so as not to crush me. I generally walk on all-fours, and rarely walk on my hind legs, as if I did this I'd be taller than the humans I hang around, and they might get a little defensive against such a large intruder. As it is I'm very large compared to most animals they see, so I'm surprised that they have reacted in such a mild manner to my presence. Perhaps they think I'm their pet...and if this is the case, then I'll have to point out to them that I'm not. I'm a wild creature - and while some Viscets may be comfortable being cooped up in a house all day being pampered and spoiled, I'd rather work for what I have, thank you very much.
"I've been told by other Viscets that I'm not the best-looking. They can be quite mean sometimes. But their nasty words only make me stronger, and don't keep me down all that much. I tend to try to look at the bright side and not let the haters get to me too often. Sure, my feelings get hurt, but I don't let them see that. I never show them any weakness that I have, as that would only let them feel satisfaction, and I refuse to give them that.
