This guy took quite a while, but I think he was definitely worth it! He's one of my favorite nannucks, you're going to have to work extra hard to pry him from my grabby hands x)
He's got a really unique marking called tweed (a new gene, W, approved by Rax!) that changes his merle markings to be many, many more colors than usual. This is an actual gene in dogs, and is not made up <33

It'll be a bit rarer to have it pass to his children, since it needs to have the merle gene to show. And mean old Ciel made him also carry non-merle and non-tweed to make it extra hard to have it to pop up in breedings hehe B)
But yes, even so it can be passed down, or at least carried~

For his competition, you're going to have to write me a short story about him (200 words or less). It can be about anything, as long as he's in it! Get creative, and good luck! There is no set end date at the moment, but I'll tell you guys soon <3

Story: Pressing his nose against the cold mesh, the buck slouched over in his kennel and watched the world outside of him whirl around without an end. People were running to different places, some people were shouting; there was a lot of noise in general.

The buck could only twitch an ear as he blocked out most of the noise and stared off into the distance, deciding to zone out. His dark eyes slid over any empty crate that wasn't too far from him.

Briefly, his mind wandered to where the cage inhabitant could be. Avoiding the thoughts about them being a feature for the show, he thought more about them running around in a field with birds chirping and unknown sunlight filtering in at aesthetically pleasing angles. The buck felt his own skin tingling at the thought of running around without a collar around his neck, without being pampered like he was a pawn of royalty.

The daydream was shaken when his crate was being moved and a hand was brushing over his nose, outside of the cage. Twitching his ears, the buck stared up at his handler questioningly before the lock was being gently pushed open. Break a leg.

Monster is as his name proclaims, a terror to those who first lay eyes on him
Those icy blues scare anyone into submission and his coat speaks for his devilish ways
Monster is far smarter than average, demon dog written clearly across his coat in fire
His owners found that he cannot be left in a territory he's never known, at least not for long, no matter how long he's known the person he's staying with.
Once, monster had become annoyed with the person who was watching over him, so he skipped along into their kitchen where he had mysteriously opened the door, destroyed the baby proof locks on the cabinets, ate whatever tickled his fancy, and opened the fridge by the rag hanging from it's elongated handle. The cold air bothered him none as he tore a full milk carton open
The home owner waltzed into the kitchen to find the hustle and bustle, only to be met with those hellish eyes that grinned back at them, the view of their kitchen was like a tornado through a once glorious city, the people displaced and homes in shambles.

Milo and Valkyrie
Milo hates to admit it.
Not because he is proud or embarrassed, but because it was a silly assumption to make.
What embarrasses Milo the most is that he first thought that Valkyrie was a girl.

Looking back, any Nannuck would facepaw themselves instantly. The poor buck did have the same long, curly horns that he did, but of course he had to be dubbed with a girl's name. Luckily for Milo, Valkyrie didn't take offence. The normally shy boy initially did wonder if Milo was making fun of him but seeing that look of innocence turn to worry, Valkyrie knew he did have the best intentions...despite the buck's intentional flirting.

"As much as you are a good looking guy, sorry I don't roll that way," the piebald joked. It didn't hit him until he saw the tweed's face morph into confusion that he had been mistaken. "Wait, did you think I was a girl?"

"...no," Milo lied tried to spare his pride but knew Valkyrie could see right through him, "I'm really sorry, and embarrassed."

"Ah, no worries. It could be way worse. You could have thought I was a rabbit," Valkyrie laughed and cringed like a little scared bunny that they themselves would have probably gone after, "don't eat me! Aaah!"

Despite his burning hide, all Milo could do was laugh. Despite their initially strange bonding, the two have been quite close ever since. Even now, the odd inside joke is never overlooked.

Story: Everything changes one way or another. Some of us can handle things like that. But not me. I hate change. So when my roommate brought home a new pet one afternoon, I freaked. It had just been me and him after the last of our dogs passed away. But, he brought the little canine into my room and plopped it on the bed, and I remember shoving the dog onto the floor cruelly. He let out this odd whimper and I almost started to feel bad, until my roomie started yelling at me. He left, and I was left alone. Well, almost alone. I glared down at the thing on the floor. Then, something clicked. All of the pent up emotions over loosing my beloved pets just came whooshing out with a flood of bittersweet memories. When I finally calmed down, I wiped away the rest of my tears on the velvety fur in my lap. Without noticing, the pup had jumped back up, and I was hugging him so tight it almost looked painful. After a few soft puppy kisses I fell instantly in love with the little darling. And I learned to enjoy change a bit as well..

Story: The crate rocks back and forth. My family must be far away; I can't smell them anymore. I don't know where I am going, what place this is, or anything. My father was an omega rising in the ranks on his way to becoming the alpha. How selfish I was, just thinking of myself. A sudden bump sends me straight up, knocking my head on the crate. "l better lay down" I say to myself, before long I’m asleep.
The truck stopped at many villages, but no one ever chose me. I began to fear for my life. I had seen the anger of the humans first hand. But at the twentieth village we stopped a human stopped in front on my cage, I couldn’t see much of her, but she bent down to me. It startled me when she stuck her finger through the cage door a touched my nose. She slowly rose up to stand at full height, I had learned enough human talk to piece together a few words. Slowly my cage door rose open, a rope slipped around my neck. "Hi boy, how ya doing?" She stroked my head gently "Safari, that's what I'll call you".
