I slowly approached my new Neravontii, talking calmly to her. I noticed her watching me from a distance. I backed away from her stall and walked into my family's orchard. After looking for a few minutes, I finally spotted a large, ripe apple. Carefully, I climbed up the tree, reaching the perfect apple. I plucked it and jumped down from the tree, returning into the barn. I held it up for her to see. She still seemed a bit skittish from people, but she took a few steps closer anyways. After a few more moments, she was inches away from the apple. I didn't dare move my hand.She watched me staring back at her, trying to decide if she should trust me. She quickly took the apple and I reached my free hand up to her neck. I pet her gently, as she was eating the apple. I noticed that she wasn't scared anymore. She actually enjoyed being pet. I giggled. "I think I'll call you Amai." She made a noise after I said her name, making me laugh even more. I kissed her on the nose and pet her one last time before leaving to attend to my daily chores.
