*Will add a BG later, to lazy to right now...*
I rode along my other Neravontii, silently following a small, petite, female one that Ein couldn't keep his eyes off. It's been a couple of years since I've first got him, and he seemed lonely. This was my only chance, for he was extremely picky.
"Ok... We're just going to go follow her to find her favorite spot..." I whispered gently into his ear, to not scare her away.
A day later, I followed her again, and I dismounted Ein, and slowly walked up to the sleeping creature. Her eyes flicked open, and she bolted away from me, but my body followed her movement. Her body twitched, and she tossed her head nervously, pawing the ground with her foot. Smiling gently, I raised my hands into the air to show no harm, and she charged.

The Neravontii stopped a foot away from me, chest heaving and steam curled from her nose. I almost giggled, she looked like a dragon. I took a step towards her humming a slow and calming melody. She took a step, and lowered her head and I breathed out deeply.
"Shh... It's ok, your mine now.."Gently murmuring into the air.
The atmosphere was static and my hand reached forward, coping her heads movement. Right as her nose touched my pale hand, I whispered her name.
"Schnelle Läufer... Welcome home.."

Re: |Series of Firsts| First Saddle

Postby noreptiles_ » Fri Jan 09, 2015 9:33 am

Two months after bonding with my new girl, I woke up to the big day, putting on her saddle. Stretching my arms, I quickly changed and jogged outside to the rising sun, and the falling of stars. The saddle was a lightweight racer saddle to fit her tiny frame. Whistling, I walked to the pasture which held her currently and walked in. All the way on the far side was my girl, nervously shivering and was ready to bolt. I grinned, closed the gate behind me, set the saddle onto the fence gently and called out to her.
"Come here Elle! The saddle isn't going to hurt you, it'll be easy, nothing to be afraid of.
But she was somewhere else, in a far off memory of the track, and whips, and tripping, and the saddle digging into her back with the rider.
After 4 minutes passed, she bolted, and raced along-side the fence throwing her tiny head in the air. I sat on the ground and waited, and eventually she trotted over and nuzzled me, then sniffed the saddle.
Adda girl... I whisper gently, rising to my feet.
Lifting the light saddle off the fence, I gently placed a blanket, and then the saddle, and waited. At first, nothing happened, but then... she reared up and raced yet again across the pasture yet again. She calmed down a minute later and walked back to me, the saddle on her side, slipping even further down.
I grinned, running my hands through my hair and wondered how I was even going to ride her.

Re: |Series of Firsts| First Ride

The time has come...
4 months later, I woke up feeling queasy and scared about having to go ride my crazy girl. Slowly, I trudged downstairs, ate food, and sluggishly walked outside my house, knowing my doom has come. Once I arrived to her field, I was surprised to find her at the gate quivering with excitement. Confused, I opened her gate, and slid myself in, then shut it right before she tried to tackle me. She rubbed her head against me and I wondered why she was acting so strange...
You ready girl? I ask, more nervous than her.
An hour later and she was fully tacked up. She stood beside the white fence that enclosed my minu race track. I patted her side to let her know that is going to be alright for the nerves are starting to reach her. Her coat was covered in a light sweat, and her ears were twitching erratically. She looked beautiful, shiny, and had a bright light in her eyes.
Climbing up the side of the fence, I put my foot in the stirrup, and gently swing myself onto her back. The next things happened, happened in a blur. She leaped forward after I setled down and began to canter around the curve. When pushed my hair on my face and I whooped with glee. She flicked her head in return, but broke down to a nervous trot and kept on glancing around her. I could tell she was wired up, so I emergency dismounted her and started to murmur to her that it was alright.
Shhh... It's alright, you'll be ok girl. You did great Elle.
She calmed down enough that I was able to take her bridle and lead her back to the barn to wash her off.
