Here's your Runner up!

Your muso was based on the Glow cloud, it just kinda seemed to fit to us at least.

The multi-colored areas glow with an unearthly light, and seem to settle on particular colors depending on their emotion and the emotional state of the viewer. They shift slightly, and sometimes make complex patterns with the color.
Their eyes and mouth are sewn shut. They communicate things by projecting their thoughts or changing color.

There is some sort of black goo on their paws for some reason.....

There are separate color layers with just the glowy bits. It goes one solid layer, no effects, another with 45% dodge and then a 30% add layer.

All their genetics are breedable, apart from the glowy bits making shapes and eye+mouth condition.
