John's a rather...odd character, to say the least. First of all, he forces everyone to call him by a title, The Doctor, despite the fact that he isn't really a doctor. He gets strange looks when he tells others this, but doesn't care. Occasionally, he can be rather flamboyant and humorous, but he is noted to be forceful, stern and in some cases, rather cruel. John doesn't mean to be...well, mean, but sometimes one has to do what one has to do. He does crack a few jokes with what friends he has, but he sometimes ends up insulting someone.
Deep down lies a heart of the purest gold, and John is always willing to help those in need, unless they need help in hurting others, then he won't. He has a very hard time with revealing his true feelings to others, and his demeanor can be extremely different to what he is feeling on the inside. For example, he might be acting extremely cold towards someone, but on the inside he is thinking about how wonderful they are to be around. Due to this, some have trouble trusting John, but other learn to love the strange guy he is.

John and one of his friends, Ashleigh. She loves how adventurous he is, and wants to travel with him. He won't let her, however, as he is scared of getting her in danger, and that her parents would kill him for it.
