The meaning of it is simple, it means good and bad because she does bad things and good things.
Her actions aren't always bad, in fact, the majority of the time they are good.
What is unusual about the necklace is that it shines a light on one side when she is forced to make decisions.
For example; She is about to make a bad decision, Yin(The black side) will begin to emit a blackish glow.
If she is about to make a good decision, Yang(the white side) will emit a white glow.
Even if she makes a good decision, it sometimes can hurt her in the end but it turns better later on whether it be a week or a full year.
She wears this for one sole purpose; to help choose what she'll choose.
