Agender - Haunt prefers male pronouns, but doesn't really mind what you call him.
Haunt has an insatiable addiction to soft jersey caramels. His obsession fuels his every move, and he spends large amounts of effort in collecting and eating them. Although not naturally a menacing creature (Haunt is rather docile, despite his appearance), Haunt's obsession causes him to act violently out of character, especially on Halloween night.
You see, Haunt discovered that trick-or-treaters on Halloween seem to always possess the largest amounts of his sugary prize.
So, every year (in true Halloween spirit), Haunt embarks on a quest to literally spook the sweets right out of trick-or-treaters' hands.
His favourite method of accomplishing this is to simply scare unaware trick-or-treaters. He stumbled across this method unintentionally, but has come to enjoy it over the years.
He might stalk his targets up an empty street, hide in the bushes out the front of a vacant house, growl and grunt from the shadows, or (if he's feeling particularly game) might even charge them relentlessly down the footpath right up to their doorstep. If all else fails, he will resort to terrorizing houses by scratching and chewing on doors or tapping on windows to get a response from the people inside. Afterall, who wouldn't get a fright from a huge beast appearing in front of them in the dark of night! Haunt then gets to raid whatever treats his victims drop (or throw at him) as they run off.
And so every year on October 31, Haunt appears from the shadows to carry out his plans, terrorizing townships to consume every last one of their jersey caramels. And he doesn't even need to don a costume to do it.
