Why the Paint?: He was hanging around a warehouse one day when he stumbled upon an interesting formula. There was some black paint nearby and as he attempted to scrawl down the equation on a sheet of aluminum he made quite a mess, getting paint all over himself in the process. When he ran out of room on the metal he simply finished it out on himself. He never bothered to scrub the paint off and was content to leave it as a constant reminder of how the formula worked.

Why the paint?: He was always told his colors were boring so he made himself orange. It washed off and surprisingly became stripes..

Why the paint?: she wondered into a ware house and began painting herself. She thought she had the right colors for the Icelandic flag to paint on herself but it was just blue, red and white paint cans the had orange in them. When she tried to wash it off, the parts she painted first were unable to come off.

He's yours! I liked the story and how you figured it was the black smears that was the paint, not the orange markings
