This rather wily boy represents the French Horn, one of my favourite instruments in the brass section!

History: Issac has had a relatively easy life. He's used as a western pleasure horse, because he hates to work too hard. He's spent his whole life on the ranch in Wyoming that he was born in.
Name and talk about one of the main types of horns, going into as much detail as you possibly can:Though the french horn is believed to be invented in Germany or Italy, the horn has been used as early as ancient Egypt. We know that this marvelous instrument isn't French, because we have see portraits painted of German and Italian nobles and generals holding it. The double horn, which has four keys (the extra is were your thumb is) and extra valves and tubes. Even there are only four keys, you can get a very wide variety of notes, making the French horn one of the most difficult to play. Now, to hold the instrument, you need to stick your hand into the bell, but not too far, or you'll get what's called a muffled horn. This instrument comes in two pieces. The mouthpeice and then the instrument it's self, the pipes and tubes can come off, but depending on the key that you push, you may get a very raspy sound, or no sound at all. Pulling on these pipes will get you a better sound, depending on the note, making a bonus for the double horn. Speaking of bonuses, let's talk about the extra key on the double horn. It allows whoever is playing the instrument to play the notes easier. When you play the French horn, you can get many different notes by pressing down one key. The spare thumb key takes care of that, but you need a bit of skill to get it just right.
