Piranha Plants are spread across the majority of he Platforming Mario games, but also have roles in various others, such as Mario Party DS, where a Piranha Plant was a boss, or as another enemy in the Mario RPG series. They most commonly inhabit World 2 levels and castles in the platformers.

World 1-2 on Super Mario Bros. In 1985
6. Who placed the first piranha plants?
Bowser!
Tell me one fact about Piranha Plants that's not in the Trivia:
Common Piranha plants have three different forms. The baby form (which shoots out of its pipe then drifts back in), the adult normal (which darts out of its pipe, biting in the players direction), and the adult fire (which, of course, shoots fire).
