~Username;Hello, I'm Fluffy:3! I am currently a non-owner and would love to join the puffball community!
~Name; This puffball's name would be Phyllorhiza (pronounced "fill-or-hee-zah"), which is deprived from the scientific name of the Australian Spotted jellyfish, Phyllorhiza punctata. She usually goes by Phyllie (pronounced "fill-ee'') since her full name is hard to pronounce.
~Gender;Female
~Personality;Phyllie isn't very social and likes to be left alone. She's fairly introverted and will only engage in conversation if she was approached by another puffball; she rarely ever starts a conversation. Phyllie is also pretty shy and doesn't care for large crowds or lots of noise. She does, however, love the beach and will spend most of her free time in the chilly ocean's depths. She can swim underwater for a decent amount of time without coming up for air and enjoys free diving (diving without an oxygen tank). If you are able to befriend Phyllie, she will most likely take some time to open up to you. Winning her trust is a hard thing to do, but possible with time and patience.
~Back story;Phyllorhiza lived a happy little life with her family up until her younger brother went missing. Her and her family were spending an afternoon by the beach when Phyllie's brother disappeared. The two puffballs were swimming leisurely in the icy waters at a moderate pace. They were talking together and slowly making there way through the moderate waves. When the sun began it's journey down to the horizon, the two siblings realized how far they had swam. They were well away from the sandy shore and both of them began to panic. In every direction there was only water and daylight was running out. They immediately decided to turn directly around and hope it was the right direction to head back in. After what seemed like hours of swimming, Phyllie caught sight of the beach. She laughed with joy and turned her head around to make sure her brother was still behind her, but he was nowhere in sight. Her heart sunk and tears started to rush to her eyes. She called his name and paddled around as fast as she could, but he was gone. Phyllie gave up her search and swam back to shore exhausted, fearful, and heartbroken. She raced to her parents and tried to explain what happened through her thick tears and choking sobs. After the incident, Phyllie's parents never took her back to the beach; she had to take trips in secret to the beach from that day on.
~Affinity with Jellyfish;Phyllie's affinity with jellyfish really relates to her past. She has grown to love and respect these peaceful creatures with her entire heart. Since Phyllie had to go to the beach in secret, she could really only go in the late afternoon, at night, or very early morning. When she began free diving, she would purposefully seek out jellyfish to follow or simply watch them pass her. The evenings with the jellyfish made Phyllie feel peaceful and calm, a feeling that she never felt at home with the everlasting search for her missing brother.
