Story ;; Our lives have prepared us for this moment, standing with my fingers twisted in Charalampos's well groomed mane, my eyes scanning the area before us. I knew he could do it, I hadn't a doubt in my mind. He is always there when I need him the most, he isn't one to fail me, no matter what we go through, we always manage to make it in the end. But I on the other hand, I just didn't know if I was capable of such a feat, I didn't want to let my boy falter and fail due to my own mistake. He snorted, and I snapped out of my trance, now my green eyes going to his blue. They had a fire burning in them that I have only seen once before. The memory made my heart ache, but I knew now was not the time to think of such sadness. I ran my hand down his thick neck, giving him a quick hug before I was ushered up atop of him, it was time for us now. I could feel the heat of a million suns bearing down upon me as Charalampos trotted out, eventing was our goal for the day, and now was time for the show jumping. How this horse could spring into the blue sky as gracefully as he does will never fail to amaze me. We began the course, crowd in a silent whim of awe as their eyes had the honor to watch such a magnificent creature go through as though it were nothing. Charalampos made it through the jumps as easily as a knife through butter. After he had cleared the last, the crowd around us instantly and simutaniously erupted
in applause, taking Charalampos and I by surprise, his ears flattening for a moment as he tossed his grand head. I reached forward and rubbed his neck for the millionth if not more times in our lives together. I couldn't be anymore proud of him, I would be as proud as can be just from simply going out in the mornings and seeing my bright, happy boy in his stall waiting for me. There isn't anything better to wake up to see in the mornings. "We did it sweetie." I cooed to him softly as we excited the course, the crowd remained standing as they waved and cheered us on. They knew we had done it, we had made it through all of our courses now, and we had flown through them all with blazing colors. Returning to the stables, I was speaking to my mother, step-dad as well as sister, they were all excited and happy as ever for the two of us and what we had achieved this day. But in the midst of conversation, I gasped in surprise as I was slipped off of my saddle, quickly looking to find the culprit was in fact my recently engaged fiancé. Instantly a smile spread across my face like no other as I wrapped my arms around his neck and he held me tight. This man, was by far Charalampos's favorite human being in the world, aside from myself, but at times that even becomes questionable. Instantly Charalampos stuck his head in between us, his large blue eyes on Kevin as he awaited all of the praise and love he knew was to come. Yes, we do spoil all of our little, well, not so little lovelies. Of course we dropped everything and began cooning and croning over how proud we were of him, how much we loved him, all of the pampering he would receive for his hard work of the day. The large stallion was beyond pleased, his head held as high as ever, legs unable to remain still as he pranced in place every now and again. He couldn't wait to return home to the company of his fellow Tolters, Fisnik, Liana, as well as the two latest additions to our forever open and growing family; Ace and Aigle. He treasures all of his companions like there isn't anything else in the world, and he tends to always be the one with an eye always on the set of youngsters as they romp around. He is a very happy stallion to live in such a wonderful, loving and caring family He has the brightest personality in the world, who would have ever imagined someone could fit their name as well as Charalampos does. By the end of the day we were in many pictures, Charalampos at my side like I have always dreamed. I couldn't ever ask for more.
