Dont be nervous, i had the same thing done to me.
the worst part is being nervous. The IV feels you being extremely tired and falling asleep, it does give you some odd dreams though.
After the IV kicks in then it'll be fine. You just have to remember the people working on your mouth are trained professonals And will not harm you :3

Extra credit?

I don't think I can but my brother had the same thing done. He was fine after the surgery. Nothing was wrong. You just need the ice cream. 8-)

I've had several IVs, and there's really no need to worry. ^^

Surgery like that isn't really a huge deal; you recover quickly and you're completely unconscious while they perform it.
Also, it gives you a good excuse to mope around the house and do whatever you want all day. XD

Oh! And ask someone to videotape you talking after the anesthesia wears off. I said some pretty weird things when the anesthesia from my tonsil surgery wore off, and it's always hilarious to go back and watch the video. XDD

Same thing's gonna happen to me! :D Mine are impacted, too! I don't know when I get them out, but I'm nervous too, since I've never had surgery before.

*EDIT* Yeah, since you're getting your wisdom teeth out, I thought you might like to watch this video ==> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joi511aj_h4 . The woman just had her wisdom teeth out, and when I saw this on AFV a while ago, I laughed my head off. :) Listen very carefully to what she's saying, it's hilarious! XD

I've never had a surgery, so i'm not sure if my encouragement will mean too much. But i know that panic doesn't solve much. But if you're getting an IV, then there's nothing to worry about because you won't feel a thing. Think about the people who have had surgery without an IV or anything to get them asleep, and they felt all the surgical pain. So really you'll be fine. Your first surgery might seem scary at first, but it's always for your own good. These things come with a reward at the end, like living freely without the burden of any messed up wisdom teeth.

You're not going to be getting surgery from inexperienced surgeons, you'll be getting it from trained professionals i'm sure. You shouldn't worry about these things, really. At least you're treating yourself before the bad becomes worse. Everybody has to go through times similar to these things in life. So just stay positive and avoid the negativity that enters your mind. I don't want to encourage you for the wolf or anything, since I don't help out people for a price. I just want you to feel better and believe everything will be fine. You're in my prayers.~
