These creatures are the spawn from the souls of the dead. They began to spawn after World war 3, probably because of the radioactive waste that was strewn around the place. They do not eat, but rather absorb fire to keep their souls burning, and their health can also be determined by how full the glow is from their eyes. Their coats can sometimes depict how they died, and how long ago, whether by fire or murder. They wear masks to conceal their distorted faces, which are usually a depiction of the beast inside the corpse's soul from which they rose. These creatures are not all sour, but rather clingy and needy, being so alone and scared by their previous mind and revelation that their actually dead.

This kiddo was discovered in China, and brought here, even if it put up a fight.

Why did this Kami want to stay in China?:
This Kami has a fondness for kimonos. She owned a kimono shop in China with her parents and her two siblings for her entire life. She had been born and raised in China, and spoke the language perfectly. She had lived a great life in China, before the war. After WWIII, this kami's kimono shop had been burned to the ground, and all of her family had been killed - as had she. She somehow came back to life, waking underneath Construction Beams, feeling just a slight twinge of pain in both her upper thighs. She never figured out how she'd died, and only counted herself lucky to be alive. She was scared of the new world of which she'd been thrown into, all alone. She looked around frantically, searching for someone to care for her. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she sobbed, bowing her head against the dust that was being kicked up with every gust of wind. She was left alone in a completely new world...a world which had once been her home. Eventually, she grew to be a loner, wandering among the ruins of China. Once, she found a kimono, and curled up to sleep in it. Her sense of loyalty was still intact, even if her body had been changed by the radiation and her death. Her loyalty told her to stay put; because she'd been born there, the supposition was that she wanted to finally die there, as well. She wanted to stay where she had been brought up...and where her life had ended the first time. She had planned on staying there, feeding off of the flames that licked the ground near gas stations, until her second and final death overcame her...but she was taken away before she went through her final death.
Now she lives in America, and has learned bits and pieces of English. She doesn't hate the people that took her, as she is very happy in her new home, but she still does get melancholy and homesick, at times.
