Short Story:
Sogno Di Vetro sat there in the pouring rain. The rain dripping off wet fur as creatures who came close quickly scampered away in cries of fear. This troubles Sogno and made her sad. But she knew it was punishment. How could she ever think she could create good dreams?
Sogno held back a sob as she shut her eyes. It didn't really matter if she cried. No one would care and the rain would wash it all away.
Suddenly a dark shadow fell over Sogno. The wet Mew looked up to see a strange creature.
" Don't cry " the creature said. It's voice indicating it was a male. " In fact...why do you cry? Why not laugh or smile? "
Sogno stared wide eyed at the creature. " W-who are you? Why do you not run? Do I not scare you? " she asked, her voice shaky.
The creature smiled. " I am Kaja, and why should I be scared of a creature who lost it's golden wings? Who lost it's hope and dreams? Considering you can only make nightmares " the creature chuckled and Sogno instantly looked scared.
" H-how do you know that?! How do you know what happened?! " she questioned, her voice rising.
The creature put a clawed hand on Sogno's mouth, signalling her to be quiet. " Hush, I know because I know...it does not really matter...but... " the creature let out a click sound from it's mouth. " Perhaps I can...offer you a new start? "
The creature leaned down to whisper in Sogno's left ear. " How about I take you to a new world were you won't be judged? Were you can make dreams that can be anything! Were you can have your golden wings again... "
Sogno stared at the creature, wide eyed. " I-I can...I can make dreams again..? I can...I won't be judged? " Sogno said, her voice cracking as she became excited.
The creature leaned back and nodded. " Yes...and... " it chuckled. " And I can believe on this promise soon...but...the deal is...that you do a few, little jobs for me in this world... "
At that Sogno frowned, and looked at the creature suspiciously. " What jobs? "
The creature laughed. " Don't worry, nothing dirty work...just delivering a few messages in the forms of dreams... "
Sogno thought for a long time. " Fine " she said, shutting her eyes.
"...Give me my golden wings again..."
