Brief background/story: Nuri's family lived on a mountain. That was normal. The mountain was a mostly inactive volcano. That was not normal. Nuri, born with flame-like markings, name means fire, she was named after the fact that they lived on this volcano. And when Nuri was old enough, she went out to explore with some friends to the other parts of the mountain. They did this a lot, for fun, finding new things each day. But nothing would compare to one day. Nuri was with just one of her friends, Nissa, when they both felt the air become much warmer. This was much farther than they've ever gone, so they went forward. Nuri took one last step forward, and drew her foot pack in pain. The ground was blacker and hotter that usual. The girls went up to a higher, less hot point and looked at the scene from above. The bright lava stood out from the black stone, seeming to glow in the dim light of the sinking sun. Nuri smiled, this would be her new favorite place.
Other: Favorite snack- A special type of berry that can grow near such heat. Nuri calls then lava-berries, even though they're blue...
