Username:Pup's name:She was born with the name Manisha, which is Hindi for wisdom. However, she was given the nickname Padma by an old friend, and she felt as though that name fit her slightly better and so prefers to be called that; it is also an Hindi name which means lotus flower - for she wishes to be like one.
Personality:Motherly wrote:Most only see mothers in those that care deeply for the young of others. This is true for Padma, as she absolutely adores pups and teens alike. And she would do anything to protect them. But she also enjoys spending time with them, just to watch over them or to share stories. However, this isn't the only way she is like a mother. While she has never had pups of her own, the instinct has always been strong in her. To guide others, help them, watch over them, and to be there in any way she can. It doesn't matter if she is with those younger than her or her peers. There have been jests about her being a mother to those who have long out-grown their pup years. Padma doesn't mind. She enjoys this 'job' of hers - caring for others as a mother would, even if she holds no direct blood ties to them.
Dedicated wrote:Padma does her utmost to do her job well. Not only the position given to her by the alphas, but also to the smaller jobs within a pack. Because a pack runs on more than just hunting and scouting. While these are the main jobs, this female is quite determined to help with whatever is needed of her. When given a task, she often devotes as much time and energy as possible to make sure it gets done in the best way possible. Some find her silly for doing so, but she is happy with this aspect of her personality and doesn't plan on changing this anytime soon.
Stubborn wrote:While not rude toward others, if she feels that something is wrong, then Padma will voice her opinion. It matters little if it is over how a job should be done, if it is conflicting opinions, or anything of the like. She can be very much like the stubborn donkeys and bulls found on earth. Unwilling to budge from her thoughts. Sometimes this brings forth conflicts. Nevertheless, Padma would rather concede that both sides are right in their own ways than move past verbal disagreements. She's never been one to fight physically over such matters. Yet even if she speaks compromise, it can actually be very difficult for her to change or alter her views. This is a fault she's become more aware of as she's grown older. Padma hopes to get better about this, but expects a long, difficult road ahead in regards to this aspect of her personality.
Pushover wrote:While it may seem like this conflicts with her stubborn personality, it actually doesn't. While she can be bull-headed about doing something a certain way or an idea she has, she can also be easily persuaded to help someone with a task. And if they have to go do something else while she's helping them? Padma is more than happy to finish up the job without so much as a complaint. Some exploit this of her, but she never calls them out on it. Maybe the other warrior has too much on their plate so to speak. It is a fault, and is aware others think it will be her downfall. But what's wrong with being nice and helpful when you can? It's not as if she's so nice that she wouldn't fight a Kronador or anything.
Boundless wrote:To others, Padma appears to be full of boundless energy - both awake and asleep. It is rare to see her sitting completely still, something about her seems to always be moving. Eyes flicking this way and that, ears swiveling to and fro, tail twitching left and right, paws tapping, running, and kicking out. Yet it is not just energy that this female seems to have a never-ending supply of. Bubbling over, seeping from her very pores, is her unending love. Not generally romantically, but in support, in kinship, in friendship - she has love of all kinds for any and all whom she meets among the warriors. It matters little to her if it is reciprocated or not. Finally, as she continues to grow, Padma yearns to grow boundless in wisdom and knowledge. There is always something unknown, just waiting to be discovered and learned. And while she knows it is impossible to learn everything, she hopes to learn as much as she can. It is because of this that she loves spending time with elders who may share their stories and why she feels it is so important to pass these on to the pups she spends time with.
Armour Design:(india/ Sari themed)
It is inspired by the blue lotus, which represents wisdom. The actual pieces of her armor are based on this sari and this ancient middle eastern armor.
The helmet is secured around her muzzle and to the back of the helm portion wrapping behind her occiput. The armor along her spine is heavily segmented to optimize movement; it is composed of thick cloth under-pieces and metal securely embedded in the cloth along her actual spine for the best protection and comfort. The semi-translucent cloth helps to add comfort and protection from any shifting pieces of armor; while it isn't the thickest or strongest, it also adds another barrier an opponent has to get through to harm her. Like with her spine, she has segmented armor protecting her chest and stomach; the portions in lighter green are metal and protect important portions of her body - organs and chest below the collar bone. Her legs are also protected by the same segmented armor as along her back and chest to allow her a wide range of movement if necessary.
Colors are still being worked out.
Artwork:1 important fact about WoIWarriors of Isket start off with wooden armor for training when they are teens; once they are of age and have proven themselves, they must face the dangerous of the old forest - where deep within there lies a cave with armor made by humans around eight thousand years ago - in order to wear the full armor of a Warrior of Isket.
**Art of her sitting and armor concept are by me. I do not own the design of the WOI nor do I own the picture used for the armor reference**
