Axis #51

Postby Raw_Silver_Studios » Wed Feb 12, 2014 12:33 pm

Whats an Axis?

Axis are home to a planet known as "Axiem", they are created by an unknown force, to balance the planet and keep it safe from what comes... the planet has been safe for years now and the Axis have become more social with humans. Will an Axis come to you?

This is a writing prompt challenge.
(For this beauty, you'll have to create a story about this Axis. )

To enter you have to include all of your basic information like,
-Axis name
-gender
-personality

-and anything else you want like hobbies and favorite foods.
BUT! It has to be intertwined with your story. (So no forms, just a story.)

You can either, create your own story or use one of the three writing prompts listed below.

Prompt 1:
You can't remember how you got under a dark tree by a Axiem river, or how you were even separated from your expedition guide.
As you try getting up to search for your guide, you notice something slowly advancing with curious eyes. You think to yourself. 'Is this an Axis?'

Prompt 2:
While with the expedition guide you notice something moving under a tree. You hear a animal cry from that same direction and without thinking, dash for the injured Axis. When you get near it shakes and beams at you. You notice it's front left paw is injured.

Prompt 3:
Its been a long day, no Axis were even spotted, and everyone is tried of walking. The guide suggests that you return to the camps and return tomorrow to continue your search for an Axis. As stubborn as a mule, you decide against it and venture on your own towards an Axiem Swamp.

The rules:
1. Your story must be atleast 300 words long and 3000 words max.
2. Art is welcome, only if its related to your story. (Can be by you, or ordered. Unlimited art for this.)
3. Your story must include the necessary information. (Axis name, gender, personality. Extras are allowed.)
4. You are allowed to mix different story prompts together and add your own.
5. Grammar doesn't have to be perfect, but no text talk. (Ex. omg, lol, u, etc.)
6. No stealing ideas from other contestants. (Tr to be creative and original.)
7. If you do use a writing prompt, please have it posted above your story, so I know.

Ends March 1st.
(Ask for an extension if needed.)

Chapter 1
Meeting the creature

I crawled through the forest not knowing what to do, i was lost, alone, and scared. I looked around and get back up walking through the forest again i heard a branch snap it wasn't me, "W-What is that", i thought to myself and began running i tripped i looked around sacredly and crawled into the bushes taking out a piece of cloth and i heard rustling next to me i began running again i could hear the branches snapping behind me i saw the camp that I've been living at i finally found it again i hopped down and looked behind me nothing was there anymore. "Huh?" i thought to myself in wonder i crawled to a tree with a bush next to it moments later a muzzle stuck out of it i screamed and the animal let our a cry it padded out of the bush slowly climbing on me sniffing me and it backed off and let out another cry and curled up next to me i sighed rubbing its head "Do you have a name", i asked it but it just shook its head "I'll name you Quinn then", i said and hugged the axis "Your such a good girl", i said then the axis stared up at me she was so brave yet shy and loving Quinn let out another cry i started to wonder why she was crying she lifted up her paw i just looked at it and flipped it over she had some thorns in it from hiding in the bushes i grabbed ahold of her paw and tried picking them out she'd just cry more i finally got them out and wrapped her paw with the cloth "I hope your okay just lets go", i said beginning to walk backwards to the camp so she'd follow me. i tripped yet again i fell on my back she crawled on me and curled into a ball i hugged her and stood up holding her getting to the camp setting her into one of the tents, I went in there with her and laid next to her laying my head on my hands falling asleep
Chapter 2
WHERE COULD SHE HAVE GONE?

I woke up Quinn wasn't in the tent i gasped beginning to miss her "Where where where!"I stammered crawling out of my tent and going through the forest again i fell on my knees beginning to cry i heard a loud roar an fierce animal with the sharpest horns and teeth was standing in front of me it picked me up. I was too scared to say anything i just staid there cowardy like a baby i didn't feel happy about something giant picking me up i felt as if it would eat me i heard the fierce animal stop in silence and drop me and ran away, i waited and looked around i began walking again shivering as the wind blew gently i was just so scared i was hoping Quinn would be okay i wasn't even thinking about myself I heard a loud bark or roar I couldn't tell bu I could tell whatever was making that noise was in danger or hurt badly. "Maybe it's Quinn lets find her", I said to myself as I ran forward seeing the fierce animal again it was crying it curled up in a ball I turned around and almost did what everyone would do, but I wanted to be brave like Quinn I walked up to the creature and rubbed it, "what's wrong girl?", I asked then the creature roared at me I couldn't really understand it but I felt like I did I think it said that its was a male oops my bad. He slang his tail in front of me it was bleeding I pulled out another piece of cloth "wow I have a lot of these you can have one", I said smiling and tied the cloth around his tail "Have you seen an axis? I've been looking for one that had beautiful pink eyes and a pink body color with some blueish markings", I said sitting down
chapter three
The gate

He roared again he said that Quinn was locked behind a gate when she was hunting! I gasped and hugged him for a thank you he made a purring sound and I laughed as I took off sprinting to a gate it had a key hole "Where I'm I going to get a key here?"I asked myself and began thinking an idea popped into my head "why don't I climb it", the idea was the only thing that would probably work I began climbing and reached the top it looking blurry as I stared down I didn't care I wanted Quinn badly I hopped down and ran through there I spotted some pink fur but when I tugged at it another creature hopped out it was small and squeaked at me I laughed a little and ran more and Quinn hopped out at me I hugged her and cried with joy "Why did you go?!", I asked her wiping away the tears hugging her, well through all her barks/roars/meows I could tell she said she was hunting and she got trapped in this place "I missed you so much now lets get back", I said smiling as I walked back to the gate but someone stopped me and Quinn "That's my axis", he yelled at me Quinn growled I dived under him crawling under him running out the gate Quinn jumped on the man hopping off him following close behind me me we ran back to camp and into my tent it was bout time for bed "Girl, tomorrow is going to be better than today tomorrow I have to let you go", I said and laid down next her
chapter 4
We still have all day though!

We woke up and Quinn walked out of the tent, the sun was shining brightly as I got out and ate some food we walked out I wiped my eyes and walked to Quinn "girl today's your last day with me", I said and hugged her she whined and we set off looking for water which was lacking at the camp o stretched on the way their so close to an ocean we turned away from it looking for a marsh we couldn't find it, soon it started to storm thunder hit a tree it fell hardly in front of us we hopped over it and sprinted back to the camp hiding in the dry tent. Quinn snuggled her side against me I just can't get the thought of her leaving out of my head I hugged her again we watched the raindrops fall after an hour or two it stopped we walked out Quinn was starving I told her to go hunt as I ate more I kept thinking about her until she was back I walked out of the tent and hugged her I was wondering about the man who tried catching her as I heard-" Hello hello hello", the man said I almost tripped on a stick because of that jerk! "She's mine!", I snapped at him as he clapped his hand together "Not anymore", he laughed "yes she is go away", I said rubbing her "okay okay", he said as he threw a sack over his shoulder it smelt like my food which it was "give me the axis and you can have your food", he growled at us. I heard a roar from behind me it sound familiar than the fierce beast hopped out behind the bushes snarling I wondered where he was the man dropped the sack down and began running the creature roared In a nicer tone I knew he was saying thanks. It was by nighttime I knelt down and rubbed Quinn's head I'd never forget such an special creature like her we walked down to the ocean as the moon shined on it I stared at her and began crying I hated saying goodbye I hugged her she walked off into the forest I wiped my tears and waved at her she trotted off scaredly
Going it alone
(Now this follows the axis, Quinn) in the forest alone I sat I thought about The human she helped me so much she was so nice and gave me shelter at night I stopped thinking as my stomach growled, I stretched out to get ready for another hunt I walked slowly seeing a squirrel "Aha", I thought to myself as I pounced on the squirrel and carried it by the scruff

I can't resist!
,

The soft noise of rushing water echoed in my ears as I wandered through the forest. It was pitch black, but that was how I liked it. My heart skipped a beat when a twig snapped, right behind me. I shuddered and took a step closer to the noise maker. It wasn't the wisest decision I've ever made, but it certainly was a good one.
A pair of vivid pink eyes met mine, and I let out a small squeal, sounding like a little girl who had just seen a spider. The eyes blinked and moved to a different spot, considerably closer to me. I shifted uncomfortably and took a small step back, tripping over a branch, or something like it, and landing on my backside with an explosion of breath. The eyes came up to me and sat nearly on my chest, squishing all the air out of my chest, for the second time in as many minutes. It was hairy, and very soft, almost as if...
No, it couldn't be. I gently shoved the creature of my chest and dug my light out of my bag, carefully shining it at the creature. It was an Axis. Now that I could see it, I could tell that it was female, and very beautiful. Her eyes glittered with happiness, as if she were reading my unspoken words. She began grooming herself, and purring happily.
"Little one." The words were rather ironic, as she was taller than my small height of 5'3. She took a step closer to me, almost on my toes, telling me, somehow, to stroke her and rearrange her slightly mussed up mane. Her horns loomed above my head and I stared at them, entranced with their intricate shape. She nudged me with her nose, an imperious gesture, telling me to continue with my mane straightening.
Her actions and movements reminded me of a friend of mine, who just would never stop begging for attention. "I think, if you don't mind, that I'm going to call you Elizabeth." She rubbed her forehead against my shoulder, begging for more attention.

I began my way back to the camp, hoping that she would follow me and that she would decide to make me her owner. Elizabeth was strong willed, and she almost didn't follow me back. A promise of a nice combing of her mane convinced her otherwise.
On the way, the batteries in my light died, leaving us to make our way back in almost, but not quite, complete darkness. Eli tread on my heels most of the way, seemingly terrified of the dark. "Little scaredy Axis. What scares you? You're bigger than I am, but I'm not afraid." Afterwards, she seemed a bit braver as if those words had wounded her pride and she wanted to show that, in fact, she wasn't a scaredy Axis. She was mine.

Is there anything else I need to add? This has 450 words.
I'm not really on anymore. I've found a better roleplaying site. I will still be on occasionally to reply to roleplays and adopt pets. If the owners of a roleplay want to free my spot up for another, you can go ahead and kick me. Just send me a pm telling me that.

My story (( It follows the axis, 3rd person ))-
Word count - 1k+

Zoey stirred in her sleep. She was having a nightmare that she had been having for quite awhile now. She then woke with a jolt upon feeling water touching her paws, trying to stuck her into the wave and pull her into the ocean. After a moment she realized that it was only the soft morning waves at high tide signalling her to wake up. She was glad for that, for when she was awake she didn't have to live in that dark dream. She recalled the terrible nightmare as she stood-

Zoey was on a raft, it had a small mast with a pure white sheet used as a sail. The raft seemed to be poorly made, just barely able to withstand the harsh dark cerulean waves. Water was sparing everywhere and the waves were huge and violent. The sky was a dark crimson red, a blood red, and there seemed to be no Moon, Sun, or stars. There was only a large blueish-green planet quite big, meaning it was very close to the planet she was currently on. A large wave crashed above her head, engulfing her and the raft she was on. She was thrown off into the dark ocean below. Her favorite activity, sailing, had gone so horribly wrong on a moments notice. She resurfaced after a second, sputtering and coughing. The salt water was stinging her eyes. Another large wave crashed onto her head, filling her longs with water. Zoey was growing tired quite fast due to the large waves pushing her around. She kept paddling harder, trying to keep her head above water before she couldn't. Her head was engulfed by waves once more before the dream had ended.

Zoey believed this is where the dream ended, where she drowned. Water lapped at her paws, the sand moist from the high tide. It would lower soon and the sand would then dry and become warm from the almost never ending sunshine this beach got. Zoey smiled as the sun warmed her pink fur, forgetting about her reoccurring nightmare. She shook out her pelt to rid it of any sand that had stuck to it whilst she had slept. Her stomach growled, alerting her that she would have to eat. She didn't really want to eat after having that night mare once more but her stomach protested against that though immediately. She decided that she could go catch some crabs or find some other shellfish. Zoey then took off across the long beach to search for her meal.

After a few minutes she had come across a little red crab. Just her luck. Zoey paws at it, flipping it so it could get away. Once it was dead she picked it up and crunched on the shell, revealing the meat. Before she had a chance to eat anything the waves pulled it into the ocean. Zoey let out a growl, she would have to go out into the ocean to retrieve her meal. Zoey didn't know if she was ready to go into the ocean after her nightmares.

After mustering up the courage Zoey waded into the cold salty water, the red crab still in view. It was maybe one hundred yards away. She was still capable of going and getting it. She doggy paddled out father into the ocean, mind set on getting her meal. Her stomach let out another roar for food and she paddled harder. After a minute of paddling she came up to where the crab was floating and took a hold of it with her mouth. Zoey then turned and paddled back to the shore, glad that she had gotten her food. She then realized that she had faced her fears of going into the water ever since she started having that nightmare. Once back onto the shore Zoey felt proud of herself, maybe she would stop having that nightmare now that she had faced the ocean again, and she now also had some lunch to celebrate!

After she had finally eaten the crab Zoey heard the hushed sound of feet hitting the sand. She looked around and saw a humanoid shape out in the distance, it was to far away to tell what it really was. All she could tell was that it was bipedal. She then figured that she would need to hide, for all she knew the being could be hostile. Zoey hid behind a large palm tree, not the best hiding spot but it was good enough to make sure she wasn't spotted. After a minute or two (( Which felt like ages to Zoey )) The figure was close enough for Zoey to be able to make out the features. It was definitely a human,a girl. She was no more than fourteen years old and carried herself in a depressed manner. Well, maybe not depressed, Zoey didn't sense any depressing vibes coming from the human girl. More like lonely, yeah. Lonely.

Zoey walked out from behind the palm, startling the young girl. After what seemed like forever the human girl spoke quietly "Hello?" He greeting sounded more like a question. Zoey barked out in reply, her tail wagging slightly to show the girl she meant no harm. The human managed to let out a small smile "Aren't you cute?" She said and Zoey gave another cheerful bark "What are you doing out her alone? Shouldn't you be with someone to care for you" Zoey flipped her hair and gave the girl a sassy look, practically saying 'I can take care of myself, so no one screws up if they try to care for me.' The girl let out a small laugh when Zoey gave her the sassy look and said "Why don't you come with me? We could go sailing together. You could be my little partner!" Zoey barked and gave the girl a look. The girl seemed to get the gesture "Okay, not little partner. Regularly sized partner." She chuckled. Zoey gave an ecstatic bark. She was going to like this girl.

The girl then turned and started to walk back down the beach, Zoey figured she was suppose to follow. She trotted along side the human, glad for the new friend and partner. She was pretty sure the human was too.
