Sly is covered in mushrooms, fungi and plants because Sly is the forest guardian. He protects the forest from any harm or wrong, but can not control the plants or animals. He is covered with plants also because he sits at the base of a large oak tree which is the heart and soul of the forest. Sly sits at the base to give this tree the life power, and keep the forest growing. The roots of this oak are twirled with all the roots from the trees and small plants, making them grow with it. Sly also uses his covered body to hide from humans if they disturb the forest, because he can easily be mistaken for a log or the ground. Sly loves to hydrate himself in the mud of the forest floor, but pampers himself sometimes by visiting the lake or waterfall for a relaxing bath.
Sly knows the forest like the plants on his back. It is a part of him he says, and he couldn't live without it. Even though the forest is large and it carries on for days, he doesn't mind wondering, roaming or simply just looking around. He loves to have visitors (but humans and others trying to destroy it) and he loves to communicate with the animals that live in the forest. he helps them all get ready to hibernate by collecting food and making homes for them all.

~Why is this BW covered in plants and fungi?:~ When he was a pup, his mother had told him to lie down near the river and to wait for her to return from a trip, but day after day, she didn't, but he sat there and kept waiting for his mother that he knew wouldn't return. (Therefore he became covered in fungi) After about a year, he spotted another Betta Wolf in the distance. It was his mother, and he knew, so the second their eyes met, he could stop waiting and finally be free to live his own life as a Betta Wolf without any worries - for, hopefully, a long time.
~BW Personality:~ He is very shy and nervous on his own, but he learned that sometimes your best friend can be yourself.

Why is this BW covered in plants and fungi?:
Nari absolutely adores the little guys. She kind of thinks of them as her friends, and she carries them around wherever she goes. She even has names for all of them.
The young betta wolf just simply picks them up if she sees that the plant or fungus isn't doing well, and sets it on her, and somehow the plants and fungi flourish. Others laugh at her for being friends with plants, but she's fine with that, since she can always just talk it out to her little buddies.
