¢∂ тнємє ѕσηg:"Tidal Wave" by Owl City¢∂ ρєяѕσηαℓιту: He is determined, energetic, loyal, brave, and outspoken.Tidal Wave tends to be outspoken, but to a fault - he often makes promises he cannot keep. He enjoys speed, and will often ride trains for their speed - he absolutely adores feeling the wind whip his fur back, and the thrill he gets from the high speeds gets him coming back for more every time. You can nearly always find him on a train, riding back and forth between cities - and most of the time, he can get on for free, as the conductors know and recognize him as a good and loyal customer. Tidal Wave also loves to swim; he has gotten caught in tidal waves before, but that hasn't stopped his determination to master his skills and never get crushed by the water again. Tidal Wave is very brave - he rarely backs down from a challenge, and often will go off, seeking adventure; this sometimes becomes a downfall for him, as it usually results in his falling into the claws of trouble...but he usually can pry himself out of it without any help. One of his three dreams is to ride a bullet train; the other is to master the ocean he loves swimming in so much. His last dream? It's a mystery - Tidal Wave has never told anyone what his third dream is.

Cause I believe you'd unfold your paper heart and wear it on your sleeve.
All my life I wish I broke mirrors instead of promises,
Cause all I see is a shattered conscience staring right back at me...
I wish I had covered all my tracks completely,
Cause I'm so afraid!
Is that the light at the far end of the tunnel or just the train?
Lift your arms, only heaven knows where the danger grows...
And it's safe to say there's a bright light up ahead and help is on the way!
"Running...must keep running..." Tidal Wave panted, tearing around the corner and leaping over bent pedestrians. He then leapt a fence and ran into the nearest backyard, quickly making his way back to the forest he called "home." He finally made it, panting from exertion and muttering crossly to himself. "I've ridden that train fifty times in the past year, and TODAY they decide to kick me out. That new conductor isn't very understanding..."
A twig snapped to his left.
He froze, swiveling his ears towards the sound.
After a few moments of silence, he breathed a sigh of relief. "Guess I wasn't followed. Man. I gotta get better at covering my tracks...and keeping my promises," he said, wincing at the painful memory that suddenly surfaced.

Oh please be done; how much longer can this drama afford to run?
Fate looks sharp, severs all my ties and breaks whatever doesn't bend;
But sadly then, all my heavy hopes just pull me back down again.
He sighed, sitting at the edge of a pool of rainwater as he stared down into it. "This pool of deep water has been here ever since I wandered into this edge of the forest. Just off to the right there's a beach, which would make you think that this water would be salty, but it's not. It's freshwater - drinkable, and clean. I often wonder what put you here, pool," he said, still staring down, "and why you're here in the first place. For that matter, I wonder why I'M here. All I do is run, catch a train, ride a wave, crash into the water, get some food, fall asleep, and do it all over again. I break my promises, I'm not reliable....what a I even DOING on this planet? Why am I here when all I do is make a mess of things?"
'Tidal Wave' by Owl City wrote: I forget the last time I felt brave, I just recall insecurity...
Cause it came down like a tidal wave and sorrow swept over me...
Then I was given grace and love,
I was blind but now I can see,
Cause I've found a new hope from above!
And courage swept over me!
And with a blink of an eye, Tidal Wave suddenly got his answer. He smiled, running off towards the beach.
Weeks later, Tidal Wave could be seen surfing and trying to ride the waves that crushed him every time. But even though he kept falling into the murky water, he'd simply swim right back up to the surface and try again. He had found his determination - and every time he got bucked off the board, he'd get right back on it and stay on for longer the next time. He even got paid by entering competitions for surfing - and with that money, he'd buy passengers train tickets. Because of his kindness and loyalty to the train services, the conductors were kinder and more generous to him - they even let him take a couple rides for free.

Alone on the outside,
So tired of looking in.
The end is uncertain,
And I've never been so afraid...
But I don't need a telescope to see that there's hope,
And that makes me feel brave!
Tidal Wave continued living his life, trying to make others happy. With every penny he received he was sure to give back twice as much - and that philosophy worked in his life for the longest amount of time. And when he was down on his luck, and needed help, the beings he had helped ended up helping him. Sure, he still broke promises...but he was working on it, little by little. And little by little, his life started getting better.
