What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatos pace... a lot.

"Hey, Nishi!" Yelled someone. I wasn't going to admit who it was. It might kill me. The only things I trust are my Koi... they are harmless. I ran as quickly as I could to the big lake, and smiled at the surface. There were the fish of my dreams, the koi of red, black, orange, and white. Mine. I flew right above them, so not to be seen across the forest. And then I danced with them, longing to be with them. For I shall not swim.

This may be the last mutato, it's the last made while the shop was owned by Akami-chan. This will be my first mutato...

Hello, My name is FantasyHeart, but some
know me as Fanta or rather FH. It's a pleasure
to participate in one of your mutato contests once
again, and this time, it's a Mutato that looks
like my favorite fish, a Koi!
I do hope you enjoy the forms and confirm
that we have gone "all out" this time! Enjoy!
____Ｎａｍｅ ｏｆ ｔｈｅ Ｍｕｔａｔｏ____
This mutato's name was not chosen by me, but
the mutato himself! His actions, design, and interests
have proved to me that he has come to be known as
Kuramu Mizu, meaning "Calm Water" in Japanese.
He also is known as U~ōtāsupiritto (Water Spirit)
and The Pond Prince. He is known as these names
because of the same reasons: His Personality, Actions,
and Shyness ( More will be explained in the story.)
Although he has many names, Kuramu Mizu is the
most accurate name for him.

So delicate and elegant as they glide,
Under the surface through the tides.
Their scales shiny and silver in the light,
But their true color shows left and right,
The pond in which they swim, colored so clear,
Protects each beauty from their fear,
The creature oh so beautiful is known
as a Koi.

Kuramu Mizu is a shy Mutato, that very
rarely talks. He has very few friends.
His friends are known as Sakura, Ichiru,
and Halima. They're koi. He enjoy swimming
in the pond with them and writing poems
about them. He used to live with his
parents but one day, his clan was under
attack by wild animals and he was dropped
down a river to be brought to safety. He
woke up in a pond in the middle of the woods
surrounded by Koi who've watched over him
since he arrived. He soon took on the
traits of these precious pond dwellers,
and became one with the Koi.

____Ｓｈｏｒｔ Ｓｔｏｒｙ____

The birds sang and chirped as
the morning sun shone on the tiny lake
causing the soft waves to shimmer.
The zen koi bushed their gentle fins
across the surface of the water as they
swam. The silent breeze shifted through
the branches of trees and bushes by the
lake. On one of the trees, a furry creature
no bigger than a basketball was perched on
an a branch. The creature's eyes slowly
fluttered open as the sunlight
beamed on his face.
He slowly lifted himself on his four feet
and heaved a heavy yawn. He jumped off
the branch and landed on the soft ground.
He then padded his way to the river and
soaked himself in cold water. He
shook his fur till most of the water
was spattered on the floor and took
off towards a dirt path. The road
was long but after a few minutes
of walking, the critter finally reached
his destination, a meadow full of daisies
and roses. Near the entrance of
the meadow stood a row of blueberries
bushes. The critter was hungry so
he grabbed a few and made his way
back to the river clearing. When he
got there, he sat by the lake and eat
in silence. The scenery was amazing:
The sun was beautiful as
it shone upon the lake, reflecting
off the scales of the koi. The deer
and squirrels poking their heads
out from behind the trees just
to catch a glimpse of the sight.
The birds chirping with glee as they
flew from tree to tree. It was perfect
like it was everyday. But tomorrow
it'll be different, something is going
to happen that'll send him on the
adventure of a lifetime. This critter's
name is Kuramu Mizu, and for him this
is the start of an epic adventure...

I chose Yasu because it sounds fitting for this beautiful mutato! Yasu means peaceful in Korean and what better place to find a koi than in korea! Koi's are very peaceful in my opinion because they remind me of ancient traditions and how graceful and delicate they can be! Koi's live for a long time and that's why I think of ancient times when I see koi's.

Yasu has an interesting personality! Sure she is like most people; sweet, kind but she gives a good reflection to others, she is not afraid to stand up for whats right and for her friends. She shows them better ways to handle situations and she is the true heart of the community!

Yasu loves the outdoors! She has a beautiful cave alongside a lake and stream. She swims in the lake and or stream everyday. She has become great friends with the fish and especially catfish and koi in the lake and stream. The lake is very clean with no severe algae issues, it has cold rocks at the bottom and no litter whatsoever. The stream gets lots of visitors and sometimes new neighbor fishies! The littering isn't too bad in the stream but its the crowd that's the time waster. Yasu always cleans up the stream to help out! Her cave is her house and it has stunning rock décor and deep purple walls. Her home is her home and nothing can change that!
