Tvetyals are a unique species of dragon-like mammals, the closest modern animal approximation being a big canine with the behavior of a puffin. They come in a large variety of sizes, with the smallest about the size of a medium dog and the largest closer to the size of horses. Tvetyals are pack animals, and typically live in family units called bevies, which range in population from 7 to up to 40. Tvetyals can sport many different traits, but the most prominent is the heterochromic eyes that all Tvets possess. Some traits are more rare than others, and on ocassion, it is said that a Tvetyal may even be born with wings. Notably, Tvetyals are separated into two primary groups: Wild and Domestic. As the names may suggest, Wild Tvets are generally not receptive to humans and cannot be ridden. With enough work, a Wild Tvetyal can become Domestic, at which point they can be lifelong companions.

Canda, pronounced CHAN - dah, is what I'd choose
to name this Tvetyal if I were to win it. Canda is a
Sanskrit name which means three different things:
fierce, passionate, and vengeful. Canda is indeed
a very passionate being- but not one of the two
other traits describe this Tvetyal's personality.
His most commonly used nicknames are either
Cad or Can, but he's very rarely called Candy, too.

Canda is a male name, and while I did think of him
as a female at first, the name stuck with me and I
started seeing more masculine aspects in his design.
Besides, I noticed that my first character of any
species usually ends up being male, so it is also
some random and weird habit of mine, I guess?

If there's one thing Canda holds above anything else but family and friends, it is his freedom. He reacts badly to those trying to tie him to rules or those that push too many tasks and too much responsibility onto his shoulders. No, he doesn't mind doing one thing or two for others, he just hates to be obligated to do the same thing to a specific time day over day again. He prefers to live on his own rather in a pack because of it because there's no rules he needs to follow or jobs he needs to finish in time. He can just run free and do whatever he feels like doing that way.

Canda's also very optimistic and laid back the majority of times. He knows when things are getting serious and will adapt his personality to it, but most of the time he will solemly look at the good sides of things and imagine a good ending to his problems. He's also a mountain of calmness to cling to whenever you feel like the ground is breaking away under your feet. He basically radiates a relaxed aura, which makes him pleasant company in dire times.

Cad tries to be respectful towards anyone, no matter if the other is trying to be nice towards him or not. However, he's also very passionate about anything he believes in and likes, so he can get a little too into arguments and turn angry and less polite when voicing his opinions on certain matters. However, his empathic nature also tells him if he's going too far or if the other is just trying to provoke him. His empathy also allows him to react more sensible and in a more appropriate way towards certain moods and he'll often try to get rid of negative mood swings quickly by cheering the other up and comforting him or her.

Another important trait of his is how affectionate he is. Unlike some other males, he has absolutely no problem cuddling with someone or just showing his affection otherwise, no matter if it's platonic love or more than that. He says it makes him feel better because secrets tend to weigh down on him and make him feel sad and caged in, especially if it's about his feelings. After all, he's trapping them inside of him, which he claims isn't healthy at all.

Before his changing, Solemn was a typical young male. He had a life, a prospective mate, friends, fun. He had everything he had ever wanted. But after he was "Marked", as he'd heard it called once, everything changed. He started feeling differently for his friends; his relationship with his girl wilted, and he became more reclusive. Instead of being outgoing and happy like he once was, Solemn became shy and fearful, sticking to the shadows. He became almost paranoid, to be honest. In fact, his personality did such a severe turn around that during that first week of the changing, many Tvetyals thought that he'd gotten rabies or a similar disease, but when they found out the truth, well, he was basically banished. Cast out of his home, Solemn wandered aimlessly until the day he was finally approached by his tormentor. But with his (and the Slender's [technical] wife's) help, Solemn made a lot of improvement.
Today, the Tvetyal still very shy and reclusive, but he's finding it easier to talk to his masters and the other Proxies, and once again has a purpose. Solemn is very dutiful and attentive to his work; he does his job and does it perfectly, without fail. Whether it's tracking a demon in the area or relaying messages between the Slenders, Solemn does what he's asked without question, and Amethyst is always more than willing to reward him for his work. As long as it doesn't involve the actual killing part. He's still way too soft to ever take anything's life; that's part of the reason he very rarely eats meat other than seafood.
And his greatest regret? Not telling his girl he loved her one last time.
