Name: Rantan It's part of the word Sky Lantern in Japanese.

Personality/History: When Rantan was a kid he moved around a lot with his parents. They where drifters, and didn't have much. They moved when his parents had found another job. He had many friends around the world because of this. Where ever he goes he seemed to know someone that went to the local school. Rantan didn't particularly like moving around a lot. When he grew up he decided he wanted to stay in one place, he wasn't very open minded about it he just knew that he didn't want to live like that when he had the chance. Rantan wasn't much of a partier when he grew up. He studied and wanted to do something productive with his life. He wanted a purpose, and friends he'd know for a long time. He kept in contact with his family, but did rarely see them. He was loyal to them and his friends though. When ever his parents called asking for help, he would go.
Other: Some quirks of Rantan is he carries a coin with him, and when he isn't busy he rolls it over his knuckles. Another one is when he lies, he pulls his lips to one side while speaking.

Name Meaning: Well, I don't know if you've ever watched this movie before but I named him Balrog off of the Lord Of The Rings. Its the fire creature that Gandalf fights in the mines. He happens to actually be one of my fave characters in Lord Of The Rings (even though he's evil and he kills one of the characters!) He looks totally awesome too.....here's a pic of what I mean:

I don't know what got into me, because seriously he looks to cute and innocent for comparison but whatever. <shrug> So theres my meaning i guess. Such a weird mind I have to get a connection between such a sweet lookin' cat and a demon monster.

Personality/History: He is quiet and subdued but even if you threaten him but if you try to physically hurt him he can get very violent. He is territorial and protective of his things and he takes insults very lightly. He is strong and smart and he loves fire. His favorite colors are red, orange, and yellow, and he loves heat and warmth. He can't stand the cold and hates it a lot. He prefers dark corners and side streets to the main stage or busy highways and he enjoys his alone time. He is a very good friend to have however. He is good at giving advice and helping others and even he has a soft side when it comes to lending a helping hand/paw. He likes flying by himself at night and he also like the stars and the sky.

name;; If I win this marble cat, I will be naming him Aedus. Aedus is an Irish name that means fire.

personality;; Aedus is quite a quiet, shy marble cat. He likes his alone time, and uses it for exploring the forests and fields he lives near. He is young and curious, loving to learn about the animals and plants that live there. An interesting thing about Aedus is that he is crepuscular. He wakes up about an hour before the sun rises and stays awake for a few hours after it's risen, then goes back to sleep until dusk. Because of that, he has better vision than most marble cats, for seeing in the amount of light there is at that time, and a bit thicker fur for keeping him warm when there's less light. Sometimes, he stays up a while into the night or day so he can learn about the animals that are awake at those times.
