Bauble 1: The first bauble is a small golden angel figurine with clear glass wings and a silver halo.
Story 1: It was Christmas eve, the snowflakes dancing through the sky around her. Gabriella was headed back to her den on the edge of a lake deep within the wood. A few smaller trees were decorated in a nice, simple way for the holiday the next day. As she drew closer to the lake, she noticed something was off. One of the first trees that had been decorated that holiday season was no longer there. It had been bigger than the others, a group effort by most of the creatures that lived within the forest. The owls and select few songbirds that hadn't migrated south had decorated the highest branches, the deer and an odd moose or two the middle, and smaller mammals like herself the lowest branches of all.
Where the tree should have been was a stump, surrounded by crumpled or flat out destroyed decorations. Her heart ached for the tree, for it had been so beautifully decorated only to be cut down. Saddened, she turned away from the stump and began to make her way to the lake through the growing snowstorm. Something gleaming among the snow made her pause and turn back, however. Moving toward the object half-buried in the snow, she began to carefully move the fluffy snow with her tail. Slowly, she uncovered what looked like gold with a ring of silver around the top. Gently, she picked it up to reveal a golden angel figurine with stunning glass wings that were as clear as crystal and a delicately formed silver halo.
To this day, Gabriella still keeps the angel as a reminder of the glorious tree that had been destroyed on Christmas Eve Night.
Bauble 2: The second bauble is a delicately formed silver blossom with a rare, natural pink pearl in the center.
Story 2: The second bauble was given to Gabriella by her brother as a Christmas gift a few years after she found the golden angel. She had been given the pearl by an otter who had wanted to gain her affection. She had never felt the same towards him, but kept the pearl because she thought it was sweet. It had gone missing a year after she found the angel, and it wasn't until the next Christmas she was given the delicate flower she now wears.
