Tvetyals are a unique species of dragon-like mammals, the closest modern animal approximation being a big canine with the behavior of a puffin. They come in a large variety of sizes, with the smallest about the size of a medium dog and the largest closer to the size of horses. Tvetyals are pack animals, and typically live in family units called bevies, which range in population from 7 to up to 40. Tvetyals can sport many different traits, but the most prominent is the heterochromic eyes that all Tvets possess. Some traits are more rare than others, and on ocassion, it is said that a Tvetyal may even be born with wings. Notably, Tvetyals are separated into two primary groups: Wild and Domestic. As the names may suggest, Wild Tvets are generally not receptive to humans and cannot be ridden. With enough work, a Wild Tvetyal can become Domestic, at which point they can be lifelong companions.

The name comes from the ancient Irish goddess associated with war. I thought it was rather befitting of her.

Personality:
Born with congenital insensitivity to pain, Macha was often considered a freak and was excluded and eventually shunned. Even her parents struggled with her disorder, cringing each time she came home with a broken bone or some new injury. Because of this, she is a loner; at first missing the contact with others but eventually coming to enjoy solitude. Her emotions are inchoate, not being around others of her species enough has led to them yet to be fully developed. Despite this, she can manage rudimentary emotions such as happiness and sadness, but struggles with more difficult ones such as jealousy and betrayal. The emotions she does display are always true as it is nearly impossible for her to fake them, not having enough knowledge of emotion to manipulate herself in that way. Since she will fight mercilessly for what she believes in but is too naive to realize when something is wrong, she is often used by other tvetyals to get what they want. It took a long time for her to realize what they were doing and in that time, she had hurt herself and many others that were undeserving of what she had done. She has since retreated away from everyone, and it was extremely difficult for her handler to befriend her; but through hard work and difficult times, they have come to a mutual agreement of friendship.

Siren is a harsh, cruel Tvet. She would much rather lash out towards someone than take time to consider their feelings. However, her anger stems from her fear of rejection. Many are offset by her aggressiveness, but Siren honestly wants to find a friend. She is extremely fight-not-flight, and wouldn't hesitate to take on an animal of any size. However, if paired with the right creature, her inner softy reveals itself, and she is suddenly care-free and exuberant. {she is bipolar}

Personality: Calm and collected, is definitely two character traits for Petri. In fact, one may compare her to... To the forest. Quiet, stealthy, mysterious, and very intimidating if you don't know the right places to look. She doesn't speak nor make many noises very often at all, making it hard to understand her. Not that she seems to want that, anyway. Not in a depressed sort of way, she simply doesn't seem to find the need in others. She's independent and knows what must be done, doing nearly everything alone unless she knows she requires help. When she does, she only goes to those most trusted by her, anyway.

However, others may think of her like... Like a cat. Again, mysterious, stealthy, and even scary if you don't notice the signs. To others though, whom know the signs and little ticks that Petrichor has, she's like a lazy cat. Slow and lackadaisical, getting distracted by the tiniest things like a butterfly or a grasshopper--Yet she can also be very quick and sneaky. She is in no way immature to the point of resembling a young one, considering behind her calm demeanor, there's always that strange spark of intelligence in those calculating eyes.
