They look different though... sock on different foot, different shade of buckskin, and also a different looking stripe. I'm not sure what rules are about a similar ref being used?

Okay, no, they're not the same. They have the same original reference, yes, but the styles are different enough that it's fine. Trust me, I made the other horse. ;3 People send us similar references often. As long as there is some degree of difference its fine! :D
