Personality: Hurricane is a very gentle horse, though she is spooked easily from her terrible experience with Hurricane Katrina. She's willing to do what her rider says, and loves pleasing humans and earning praise. She dislikes making people or other horses uncomfortable and is very welcoming.
History: Hurricane was a mare found after Hurricane Katrina. She was only a small foal, but she survived with the help of her humans and mother. She was sheltered in a secure part of the barn, but unfortunately, while her owners were bringing the rest of the horses back to the stronger part of the barn, some of the roof caved in and crushed the humans. After the hurricane subsided, Hurricane was able to escaped the ruined barn with her mother and was discovered living in the back woods behind the old barn. They were then brought to a shelter where they quickly healed and got adopted off. Her new owners tied blue beads to her mane that will never come out. The owners did this to Hurricane's mother as well and all other horses rescued from Katrina, as a symbol of the strength and luck required to escape such a disaster.
